The North have some rare fruits that are only found in the North. These fruits are highly nutritious.They are mostly grown in the desert and places without much rain.

Some of these fruits include Goruba (Doum fruit or Gingerbread fruit), Adua (Desert Date), Dabino (Date), Aya (Tiger nut), Samiyan Biri (Black Velvet Tamarind) etc.

Ka Gani abun di.wanda ana kira goruba...count me out...dabino(dates) thing na ne.

Those years at hadeja road I used to buy it from masu baro with enough kwakwa.the feeling is heavenly.

Aya(dried tigernuts that one I don't like it for one day.

I still eat dry Aya till date. But we use it mostly to prepare Kunun zaki. It gives the Kunu a milki taste

I missed kunu zaki and kunu gaida.i used I use to prepare it for my family before but my mynd just comot .

But you masa and wain/kilisi I don't joke with ithem.

I have my freezer currently stocked with kunu aya I prepared for my family. My boys like it anytime they come home for holidays.

Tiger nut + dabino + coconut. Delicious and cool.
