He actually has a point. We have not used drones effectively enough to fight this terrorism. And not necessarily armed drones, but even drones with high resolution thermal imaging cameras for intelligence gathering.

When you see a swarm of 50 bike men moving together in Northern Nigeria, it can never be for a good reason. If we have like 10 surveillance drones moving across Northern Nigeria, added to intelligence from informers on the ground and satellite technology, we should be spotting these guys a lot better and eliminating them quicker.

Its only in Nigeria that Army base will be under sttack for 5 hours with no air support. 5 hours that ordinary 737 will fly from Lagos to London! Then we are truely not serious.

What he said was purely nonsense. Even China with technology won't say that. How can drone be a defence minister. It doesn't even make sense at all. Can a drone attend meetings, go on conferences, engages people.
