Do you know how risky runs is?
SmartPolician:
But runs give easy cash than legit work.

I'm even surprised that Nigerian ladies are doing job of 100 - 200k when they can get that money in 1 or 2 nights.

Tinubu and his evil agents have destroyed this country

Thieves should do it well, they can rape and maim as they wish

Terrorists should do it well, they can have government contract

Thugs should do it well, they can become doctors

Electoral riggers should do it well, they can count 136 as 9000 votes

Bandits should do it well, they can always repent

A fraudster should scam people only long enough to escape poverty

A corrupt politician should embezzle strategically, then retire gracefully

A drug dealer should sell carefully and invest in a better future

A father would never let his daughter do something like that or even encourage her to do it. There is nothing like I don't judge.

What she is saying is wrong and it is more disappointing to see that there are young girls there in the studio. Anyway, Morayo and her husband de talk for the same show, let her ask her husband the same question. No sane man worth his salt will give such advice. Women and their dangerous advice. It should be condemned.

Circumstances can make someone be on the wrong path but she made no sense in saying stay there, do ashewo well but don't stay there. Shaffy, do not teach people to become comfortable with what harms them. There is nothing to understand there. You don't need to be liked to say the truth and be firm with it, you don't need to be politically correct. I am not going to preach because of the economy but economic factors have never been an excuse for us to lose our morality and dignity because we know the end as a people.

As a Yoruba woman, she should know better and promote the values of her culture than this misguided talk.
Ashaawo and armed robbery are completely two different things. Ashawo and bandits are completely two different things.
Re: Shaffy Bello's Blunt Advice To Women In Sex Work Amid Nigeria's Hardships by chidiokay: 7:00am On May 29
madam shaffy is wrong on this one, selling your body to make money is not justifiable as a woman.. Cos it takes away dignity Forget don't judge me

2ndly she said do it but don't stay there, I.e. do it temporarily to raise capital n to something. Better... Considering the risk in the business of ashawoo some girls just on there 1st client na ritualist hand they land
Some girls have these short term plan bug within that short period they got infected or see what they are not suppose to see

The risk is enormous even thinking short term is not insurance... the question is if shaffy daughter is inside hostel doing ashewo will she understand

Mummy I am just doing it to raise capital to support my business.. Will shaffy understand.

I think it's lot of hypocrisy when we "understand" cos no be my blood.. It's entertaining to watch mad people but who pray to give birth to one, even a pocohantas wil shout blood of Jesus shocked

Very bad advice.

Same thing as telling men, if you are an armed robber, do it well but don't stay there.

Or saying if you are a yahoo plus guy, or doing any other evil act to make money as a guy, continue but don't stay there.

Does that really make sense to her, I think they are beginning to see a show as legitimate work.

Too bad.

It's not actually taking something personal when utterly condemning something. It's the PAIN of knowing the consequences of such advice. Moreso, we know how fragile the mind is if not fully formed in the understanding of the consequences of one's actions.

[quote author=Chickenandchips post=139544910]During an interview on The Morayo Show, 55-year-old actress Shaffy Bello advised young women facing Nigeria's harsh economy to use 'runs' only short-term, like supporting family, before pursuing better paths. She stressed self-worth, saying women don't need to expose themselves for success, and framed it around investing in one's future. Reactions online ranged from praise for her empathy and realism to criticism that it encourages vice, with some noting double standards compared to male hustles like internet fraud.

she say this if it's her daughter or sister?. SMH

Not taking it personal but yesterday was international children's day. She has a sphere of influence that has to be guarded by what she says in public. If she was on cruise mode or non serious platform, I will ignore it. Imagine a man said the same thing angry
You don't get it do you?. She's not asking them to do it, she's only telling those in it to stay focused and quickly come out of it. It's like telling your son, I don't support you having sex as a teenager but if you going to disobey and have sex anyways, please use a condom. Even if the teenage boy go on and have sex with condoms but you found out, that doesn't still stop you from punishing him for disobeying you. It's just a case of trying to protect him as far as you can.

But you and I know that a lot of ladies are impressionable. You know especially since you have female friends. Back to your comment, only a handful of women take interest in what's not entertainment and celebrity things. It's the impressionable character of women that makes men take advantage of them and every time you read the news, you ask yourself aren't these ones aware of what's happening in the world? Do they want to waste their lives? Aren't they thinking of the risks of what they just did? Before thinking it's about Nigerian women, no. The fashion industry and beauty industry knew about this for women and unlocked the code so I won't take it lightly because many girls look up to her. Their frontal lobes are yet to develop and they will make a costly decision of their lives due to bad advice. Mistakes women make are like tattoos, hard to remove. Na men be dia customers so I also know my gender, I won't advice my enemy's daughter to even try it, it will never end well, even just 1x

Some social psychology research suggests that women, on average, may be more responsive to social influence and peer approval than men in certain interpersonal settings. Studies on conformity and group dynamics, including work influenced by Solomon Asch’s experiments, found that women were sometimes more likely to adjust their expressed opinions to align with a group consensus, particularly in public or relationship-oriented situations. Researchers have linked this to social conditioning that encourages agreeableness, emotional sensitivity, and social cohesion in women from an early age.

Evidence from marketing and social media studies also shows that female consumers are often more influenced by peer recommendations, community trends, and social validation when making decisions.

What is the correlation of Ashawo, drinking, smoking that you decide to do with your body and CRIMES punishable under lawhuh?

Aprocco:
What is the correlation of Ashawo, drinking, smoking that you decide to do with your body and CRIMES punishable under law huh?
Behaviors such as prostitution, excessive drinking, and smoking are often associated with environments where crime rates may be higher, but they are not automatically crimes in themselves in every society.

Criminology studies show that heavy alcohol use is linked to violence, impaired judgment, and disorderly conduct, while prostitution in many regions can become connected to trafficking, drug activity, exploitation, or organized crime because of the surrounding networks involved.

Smoking and drinking may also correlate with risky lifestyles or poor decision-making in some cases. However, the law primarily punishes direct criminal acts such as assault, theft, trafficking, fraud, or violence, not simply personal lifestyle choices. Therefore, the connection is usually indirect and environmental rather than proof that everyone engaging in those behaviors is inherently criminal.
You know there are platforms like OF where they may not need to be in physical touch with the customer if they choose to but it still sells their dignity and humanity. A job that exposes the women to more danger even on the internet is not safe for them.

Good for you. You made me remember this comment in the past about the girl child and why they were hard on her compared to the boys👇

SixSeven:
I posted a video in my last comment. One of the reasons I don't bother arguing with women and don't give a damn about whether they think my comment is pandering or not is because with time, women eventually find out the truth. Time is a beautiful patient bride for men but an ugly tortuous truth for women. I need to copyright that. Women also don't like being told the truth, so keep telling them beautiful lies if you want to make them happy.

What happens to these women is that they have to settle. It was never a competition but the system does not favor men initially, it beats them but once you clock 30, things start to change. Men who learned from the beatings will start to look good while women who didn't know time changes yesterday will wake up to the reality of a new dawn. This is why the world always tried to raise the girl child more than the boy child because men can make many mistakes and still recover. A woman's recovery is usually hard if she makes mistakes, so man overtime knew this and wanted to raise her because they knew the future isn't nice, it can be harsh.

It's often too late before women realize in their 40s that the select few men they want are either married or not interested in them because of their age. They are then susceptible to fork boys/men and younger men who are still discovering themselves and not emotionally/financially mature for them. Women know themselves, that's why it's usually difficult for mothers to accept their sons marrying an old woman say 25 yo man vs 40 yo woman. The women know themselves. Women wake up one day later in life to see they are not as beautiful as they thought and newer editions have come out. Attention has gone to the beautyful ones who are born and trending.

A man is never ugly... Buchi Emecheta
Now, do you regret your dad's cover or you think it was overbearing and how will you raise yours differently?

First of all it was that deceitful tax fellow last year - who used runs girls as an example (in a church of all places!) in marketing the tax policies of his principal.

Now we have this woman saying complete nonsense.

"Girlfriend" is just euphemism for a runs girl that sleeps with a man without haggling for price first. Or you think those runs girls are not people's girlfriends? They are running lease programs--rent for temporary use. That's all.
