My two cents for those asking , is the dip buyable now ? for equity investors which is long term, time in the market always beats timing the market. You get money ? Just buy, you can never get the absolute bottom cos your dip today may latter be the top of a new down trend a few days down the line ...but in the long run (5 years e.g.) did you get a 350 to 400% increase ? if not more?
Don't miss the diversity of the Amazon while being fixated on an Anaconda.

It has recovered fully and it's on track to close in the greens today. I made some 'risky' moves this week and they paid off. I was not confident enough to go in big.

Thanks I may need to download my trading view again ..though the ASI has misled some on here to wonder " ASI is green why did xyz fund return red on my investment " forgetting the bouquet of stocks in that particular fund is what determines Thier return on the day and not a broad indicator as the ASI.

How many percent loss?

Most fund managers in Nigeria should have that test before accepting any investors. My bank and broker do a rigorous test to identify the risk level before making any subscription decision for new investors.

Don't see it as an insult. Before u invest in gt equity, they will give u test assessment, if u are not ready to lose 25% of your capital, then they tell u to stick to mmf & not equity. The people u think are insulting u are only telling u on time to leave this market, so u don't develop high bp.

Alot of u guys were drawn to equity because u were seeing upward movement, same way the market can go up for a month is same way it can go down for a month or even 6 months, so prepare your mind if u still wish to remain in this market or go to mmf now because your money can still drop more than what u are seeing now. Election is approaching & anything can happen.

Dividend is Fake.
Why are we running after dividend paying companies who will just slice the dividend amount from our stocks' Share prices to pay us?
Why can't you buy a highly bullish stock, sell a percentage of it and pay yourself your desired dividend?

No wonder you would buy a stock on the qualification date and still get paid the whole dividend.... Simply because the so called dividend will be deducted from your paper profit and sent into your Bank Account.

This dividend of a thing is just one thing that never interest me about stocks. How will someone have almost 35m worth of mtn shares & receive a dividend of around 600k once in a year? At the end of the day the dividend will still be deducted from the share & its unit price will drop after payment. When I see people screaming dividends online, I wonder if there is another one.

One influencer was shouting $0.5 dividend for one foreign stock on Facebook, I did my calculation & discovered a $10k worth of that stock will give less than $12 in dividend. I really don't understand what the excitement is about on dividends sha

😂😂😂 you’re right. Just that the decline in ex dividend price is not permanent. If it’s a good stock, it will still appreciate and you would have eaten your cake and gotten it back
