chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Marcellinus Okechukwu Nlemigbo, has advised the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, to exercise patience over his presidential ambition and allow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to complete a second term in office.

Nlemigbo, popularly known as MARCON, said Obi possesses the qualities to lead Nigeria but noted that attaining the presidency requires patience, political strategy and perseverance. It took President Tinubu 20 years after his governorship to ascend to the throne as President. Mr Peter Obi is quite eligible and qualified for the presidential seat, but there is a process to get there,” he stated.

The business mogul and member of the Imo State Council of Elders therefore urged Ndigbo and other eligible voters across the country to shun ethnic and tribal sentiments in the 2027 presidential election and instead support Tinubu’s re-election bid.

According to him, “the Southeast should vote massively for President Tinubu because he is working assiduously to liberate the nation from the rot he met three years ago.” Nlemigbo, a former Imo State Chairman of the APC, spoke while briefing newsmen in Owerri on the conduct of the party primaries in the state.

He insisted that the presidency was “not rocket science but something that requires patience and hard work to secure.”

The APC stalwart argued that the nation’s economic challenges could have been worse without what he described as the visionary and pragmatic leadership of President Tinubu. The economic crunch could have worsened without the visionary pragmatic approach of the President and his effective management and utilisation of the nation’s lean resources,” he said.

On insecurity, Nlemigbo dismissed claims that the Federal Government had failed to address the situation, maintaining that insecurity had become a global challenge.

“Insecurity is not peculiar to us as a nation. It has become a global issue. People who are greedy, do not value human lives, do not have the fear of God and are rabidly fanatical about their religion are behind most of these problems,” he added.
He also commended Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and the Imo APC Chairman, Austine Onyedebelu, for ensuring what he described as a hitch-free conduct of the party primaries in the state.

Speaking on the Imo Charter of Equity, which rotates the governorship seat among Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe zones, Nlemigbo disclosed that the Imo State Council of Elders had resolved that Owerri zone should produce the successor to Governor Uzodimma.

“On the Imo Charter of Equity, the Council of Elders has settled for the Owerri zone to produce the next governor after Uzodimma,” he stated

Tinubu is fortunate to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming President of Nigeria, a dream great men like Obafemi Awolowo, MKO Abiola and even Odimegwu Ojukwu could not achieve in their lifetime, he ought to resign or quit seeking for reelection knowing that he doesn't have the capacity to lead Nigeria out of the woods that Nigeria is currently in right now.


Tinubu had the great opportunity to write his name in the sands of time by being the President that transformed Nigeria for good, but out of wickedness, unforgiven spirit, tribalism and greed, he decided to fail.


Nigerians are not asking for too much. In fact, Nigerians are easy to please when it comes to leadership.


All that Tinubu needed to make great impact and transform Nigeria was to let go of the past and carry every Nigerian tribe and region along sincerely and not follow Buhari's evil footsteps of being a tribal, divisive President.


All he needed was to let his greed for more wealth aside, let his tribalism character aside, let his unforgiven character aside, let his cunning and divisive political games aside and sincerely appoint capable hands that are scattered all over Nigeria including those abroad. Tinubu could have done something unique and ingenious by listing all the key portfolios under his government and create an online platform he can call: renewedhope website or whatever and ask all Nigerians to nominate competent, credible Nigerians they know at home or abroad that Nigerians believe are suitable for each portfolio.


Publicize this platform on social media, using TV stations, Radio, newspapers, etc.

Give 15 days for nomination of minister for each portfolio listed.


After 4 candidates that got highest nomination for each portfolio will be displayed on his renewed hop website and Nigerians can begin to vote for their most preferred candidate for each portfolio and the vote count will be visible for all to see and you can only vote with your NIM to avoid multiple voting.


From there he would get the best hands. He can then add his own candidate on the side with those nominated by Nigerians. Believe me he would have gotten the best hands to help him transform Nigeria and the credit goes to him.


But he rather chose to be a tribal President for his region only for his sinister plan to regionally divide Nigeria and reduce power of President after cornering everything to his region by the end of his second term.



Nigerians should wake up.


If Tinubu win a reelection, he will restructure Nigeria so geopolitical zones and states will become the most functional and powerful while President becomes powerless and ceremonial after using the 8 years to borrow loan with Nigeria to develop his region and corner every development and infrastructure to his region and Lagos state.

Apart from Atiku's arrogant and unhelpful interview, why else do you think that Kwankwaso and Obi left ADC to Dickson's NDC while Jonathan is set to pick up PDP's ticket? Kwankwaso is clearly interested in Tinubu winning next year so he can hope to succeed him in 2031, assuming that Tinubu does not get a 3rd term agenda to be life president. Something that Obasanjo failed to achieve in 2007, thanks to Atiku and other democracy heroes who killed the bill in the NASS despite Ghana must go bags of bribes.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.

In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.

The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.
