You remember how we started the season and thought we were stacked in midfield last summer? Only for injuries to turn us begging for mercy for a break.

Bernal and Gavi are just returning from ACL. So there's still risk. FDJ goes out injured every now and then. There's Olmo who misses half the season. Then there'll come a time Pedri will definitely be out injured because of his accumulated minutes playing.

So adding another player is a no brainer especially one who instantly serves as Pedri's redundancy. And the possibility for Silva to be able to play RW when we need to rest Yamal.

Smart move if you ask me. Really massive when you add up the experience too.
Our midfield is very injury prone so we need the numbers especially if Casado is going out.

Unlike griezmann where we could trigger his release clause this one is harder and they can dig their heels in till other clubs enter the race since his release clause is 500m but let's see how it goes. Yes they can because UCL has some luck in it. Chelsea knocked out prime Barça. Inter also did.

That Madrid team won just one or two league titles but won more UCLs.

UCLs is not so straightforward. There's a reason why Fergie won twice in 26 years while Zidane won 3 in his first 3 seasons. It's hard!
