Honestly, Akeredolu of Ondo state. There's no particular right first person to look for collaboration or unity.
Neighborhood watch is designed as a community policing outfit whose main missions involve rescuing kidnapping victims, identifying criminal hideouts, intelligence gathering, and joint patrols with police and military. They are not police who are constitutionally placed for things like arrest, detention or even imprisonment. They don't have prisons to put anyone into, hence they hand you over to law enforcement. Also, Lagos is not like North where there are so many bandits. Wonder where you're going with the questions.

Lagos does not need Amotekun because it has RRS Tinubu created, while Governor, that the State funds.

Amotekun in Lagos would be duplication of effort and spending which does not make sense because RRS has been commendable making and keeping Lagos safe.

When we tell you lot to give Tinubu his dues, for his many stellar achievements, you'll be arguing and talking up the empty Agulu charlatan and failure Obi.

See below to note Tinubu created RRS as soon as he became Governor.
Must you mention Obi in your comment. What has he got to do with Makinde's comment on Tinubu. But since you have decided to mention him here, let me ask you to do a little google research on Obi's impact on demolishing insecurity in Anambra, to the extent that the then IG of police Abubakar Mohammed named anambra as the safest state in the country over a period of 5yrs. Google is your friend.
Once upon a time when residents use foil paper on their windows for security purpose.
Once upon a time as a traveller you dare not stop at Onitsha at Night anyhow.
Once upon a time luxurious buses, have to park at their terminals when they enter Onitsha at night and proceed in the morning.
Onitsha was a jungle of arm robbers, ritualist, assassinations.
A state where a sitting Governor was kidnapped by powers that be I personally escaped armed robbery attack at a place called Oba when heading to Owerri in the early 2000s. Let me answer you. Lagos state has a state security trust fund where the government and private sector contributes money to extra fund the police. The Nigerian police in Lagos is the best equipped and funded. That's why you have low crime rate.

Next.... Lagos is a cosmopolitan city therefore rag tag amotekun will not fit into their model. There are neighborhood watch in Lagos. What Lagos needs is pure state police and that will mean transferring their funding of Nigeria Police to their state police.

Makinde just wants to attack anything Tinubu.

Before tinubu became president he was champion of state police

They made it look as if malami was undermining it

Now the heartless man is president

First he said governors should go and submit memo on state police

Second his new igp recently said a pilot program is being assembled for state police

In between this, the fmr igp had been moving from pillar to post to rubbish anything apc

Tinubu is...He is building more training centers or you think police should be recruited and trained without proper places to stay or reside. The problem with Nigerians..You want to count from 1,2,3 and then 100. You need housing, you need equipments...look up what the Govt is doing. The states collect security votes...ask your Govs what they are doing with it...packing it in a purse for election maybe grin grin grin

The Law for State Police must be passed by National Assembly and who controls the parties in those House and Senate...Governors of those states can push for them and the constitution needs to be changed, and that must be passed by States House of Assembly. The problem with uninformed citizens...too many of you, and so the right people are not being challenged, and that is why we are where we are.
