That’s very good! The only problem is that, it’s a weekend. It should have been done during the working days. Probably Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. |

Aba too carry this sit at home for their heads. In Onitsha, Awka, Nnewi, Enugu and Owerri, there was movement as usual. |
| Re: Biafra Day: Aba Turns Into Ghost Town As People Sit At Home by Richtaiwo(m): 5:22pm On May 30 |
HacheNoire:I think that needs to be corrected. As we all know, whenever a celebration falls on a weekend, the public holiday is shifted to the next working day. By that logic, the sit-at-home should be moved to Tuesday, since Mondays have already been permanently reserved for the regular sit-at-home exercise. |

It was sn honour to the resilient people that fought against a blood thirsty north Nigerian Army in 1967 The war was a genocide on the Igbo people They wanted to wipe out kids. Children and women. It was not a war. War is when soldiers fight each other Genocide is when you leave soldiers and start killing ordinary common civilians.. A War journalist Fredrick Forsyth recounts when he and Biafra soldiers were patrolling Onitsha when they came across 300 piles of dead bodies of members of Apostolic church layed on the road. He said the Biafran soldiers were so overwhelmed at the sight that it took only him and 2 brave soldiers to lift the bodies from morning and they finished in evening He said the victims were Apostolic church members that when they came into the church the ordered everyone out women children boys with hands tied to their back and shot them💥💥 close range execution. About 300 people There were so many war crimes going on That is when Biafrain soldiers realized these northern army was busy wiping out civilian population than to fave them one and one. The Nigerian Air force which was controlled by Egyptian pilots would avoid areas that had Biafran soldiers with machine gun. For fear of getting shot down. So what they sis instead was to drop bombs in churches, hospitals or halls were there were crowds of civilians gathered for shelter. It was nothing but genocide Biafran soldier had low ammunition, rusty guns, hand made guns. Biafrain soldiers had a song they sing " If I die in battle Give my gun to the next Igbo man Give my uniform to the next Igbo man Give my boots to the next Igbo man To protect our land with our lives. That is to show you they had low uniforms and where given uniform and guns of their fellow dead soldiers to continue the fight. Due to low ammunition, Biafriqns had a rule called "One Bullet One Soldier" Meaning if you must shoot , that bullet must kill the soldier or else you wasted bullet given to you. Imagine running out of bullets. Meanwhile UK loaded the Nigerian Army with so much ammunition to last a life time. UPON ALL ODDS AGAINST THEM THEY HELD THE NIGERIAN ARMY FOR 3 YRS How on earth the Igbos were able to pull that of was something out of a miracle. masterfactor:Hear it from the man himself Mr Fredrick Forsyth Shey you will say this one too na A.I?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGVcWdLPW4U?si=D_EKbQHTlDdshHyV |

Hospitals and other emergency services won't open today and they really don't care, let it happen for 5 minutes in Lagos and people from here will want to turn the world upside down The hypocrisy is too loud |

People from these place don't care, u can lock them inside for 50 years...it's not their problem but nothing must happen in Lagos or Ibadan n u will see children from this place crying more than the bereaved Then u will start wondering if they ain't from here, a million thread have been opened about the oyo incident by people from here but they don't care if everyone is killed in their place. Obi, ezekwesilly will not say anything now, but ordinary 2 hours environmental sanitation in Lagos they will start roaring like lions |

The people know their fxckn governors can't protect them. Taking a day off won't kill them. We have useless set of leaders in this country, they can't stabilize the economy and still can't guarantee safety of lives and properties, so what the hell is their essence? |

For those who care to understand today's importance, May 30 is an important day in the life of a Biafran. The day we celebrate freedom, identity, brotherhood and progress. May 30 2026 is on a Saturday, so weekend jollification and enjoyment. Ndiigbo, keep winning! |

Krankhead:Why should obi control it? What's wrong in setting aside a day to remember ur people that were unjustly massacred in a genocidal war of attrition? In a sane country a day in a year would have since been officially recognised to remember them for national healing just like it's done in other sane civilised countries like isreal. |
