An Iranian missile strike on an air base in Kuwait has reportedly injured several Americans, as President Trump weighs whether to accept Tehran’s latest peace proposal or return to war.

The Americans injured some time within the last 24 hours included contractors and active duty personnel, a source told Bloomberg News Saturday, with minor injuries suffered after Kuwaiti air defenses struck an incoming Fategh-110 missile.

The attack also seriously damaged a pair of MQ-9 Reaper drones, which cost about $30 million as debris fell on the Ali Al Salem air base.

President Trump huddled with his security team Friday, and said he plans to make a “final determination” on a deal with Iran that would extend a cease fire for 60 days, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and set up further negotiations on Iran’s nuclear material while the US lifts its blockade.

Located about 20 miles from the Iraqi border, the base hosted US troops during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

US Central Command did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

This is what happens when you become indecisive, and I blame President Trump for the consequences of his indecision. You don't negotiate with terrorists—you finish them off mercilessly. What kind of nonsense negotiation is Trump having with the evil regime in Iran? Senseless!

If I were in Trump's position, I would close my eyes and do what needs to be done once and for all. I would bomb Iran back to the Stone Age and erase whatever form of civilisation exists in that country, and I wouldn't care what anyone says. Trump is all talk and no action.

It's distance barrier which USA is able to work around, with bases on the soil of Iran's neighbours.

Had Iran have bases in say Canada,Mexico, or the Caribbean countries, it would have been a different topic.

Iran can't attack USA directly because of distance. USA can't attack Iran directly from USA's soil too, that's why they need bases close to Iran and even requested to use bases in some European countries (which was largely rejected) earlier in the conflict. This is in addition to direct attack from Isreal.

Iran's tactics is to attack those bases from where USA is attacking, attack neighbors hosting these bases forcing them to disallow USA from using their soil to Attack Iran(with no bases to attack Iran from, they'll be left with only moving their long range missile launchers stationed close to Taiwan and South Korea). Deplete Israel's defense system with way cheaper drones. Impose oil based economic hardship on the world to get attention of other countries.

USA is definitely winning the battle but losing the war. Continued attacks at the rate of the start of the conflict is fast depleting their way more expensive stockpiles, exposing them to bigger threats (China, Russia, North Korea). Once depleted to certain level, they wouldn't have choice than to withdraw their military protection in Taiwan and South Korea. Then China and North Korea can go in and exert maximum dominance in that axis which is suicidal for USA.

These recent peace moves are to buy time to replenish stockpiles and have better name going into mid term election in November.

It's a dicey situation.

While I will accept Iran don't want to fight or start a war with US. There entire modern military infrastructure is built for that purpose because they knew America will attack them some days.

So, technically they are fighting America now one on one albeit assymetrically. The only advantage America has over them now is nukes, even their thousands of f35 and over hyped bunker burster has been demystified.

They know if Iran should have nukes they are as well know they can never attack them anyhow again just like America can never in their weirdest dream think of attacking North Korea. Because it's evident all states in America is within the range of North Korea ICBM powered nuclear warhead. They no born their papa well to threaten North Korea again.

Now Iran is attacking America interest in the gulf region and their military bases to be precise and you're saying they are not fighting them one on one. The recent retaliatory attack by Iran on US base in Kuwait is what abeg?. The Iran deterrence doctrine is that you hit us we will hit you back for sure. Can you even see the terrorist state of Israel in the negotiation table again they are relegated to background because their papa US have cautioned them, and all along Iran are really fighting US.

If they do not give go ahead signal to the spoilt brat and terrorist state of Israel he can't dare attack Iran.

Trump is softpedalling because the risks way outweigh the benefits.
There is no way Trump would do what you have said without directly putting homeland in harms way which Americans would vehemently resist.

The little he did sef, he's feeling the heat already. What do you think can take a whole Trump to China to be welcomed by a government official? Had he known what he currently knows, his approach would have been way different.

A full blown war to wipe out an entire civilization isn't some bread and butter thing. You clearly don't know the magnitude of what's involved.
