2027: Rivers Has No Option But To Back Tinubu, Says Wike by CapitalLens(op): 10:45am On May 31
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that Rivers State has no choice but to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu, citing what he described as unprecedented federal appointments and developmental projects enjoyed by the state under the current administration.

Wike made the declaration on Saturday in Port Harcourt during a luncheon organised by the Rainbow Coalition in honour of candidates participating in the forthcoming Governorship, National Assembly and State Assembly elections in Rivers State.

The former Rivers State governor urged residents to compare the benefits the state had received under previous administrations with what it had gained in less than three years of the Tinubu administration.

According to him, Rivers people must appreciate the President for recognising and rewarding the state.

“From 2023 to now, compare what Rivers State has benefited under this administration with what it got under previous governments. Look at the appointments and opportunities that have come to Rivers State. Compare them and tell yourselves the truth.

“President Tinubu has shown so much appreciation to Rivers people. We have no choice but to continue supporting him,” Wike said.

The minister dismissed ethnic and sectional sentiments in politics, insisting that governance and development should remain the primary considerations for voters.

He urged political supporters to focus on grassroots mobilisation rather than media appearances, stressing that elections are won at polling units.

“Television will not give you votes. What gives votes is going to your polling units, your wards and your local governments. Deliver your polling unit, deliver your ward and deliver your local government,” he said.

Wike also expressed confidence in the political strength of the Rainbow Coalition, declaring that the group would dominate future elections in the state.

“If you want to be relevant in Rivers politics, come and join the Rainbow Coalition. If you want to be governor, senator, House of Representatives member or councillor, come and join us,” he stated.

The FCT minister warned against any attempt to destabilise Rivers State, saying the state would resist forces seeking to undermine its interests.

“Rivers people are peaceful, but nobody should take our peaceful disposition for granted. Nobody can come here and hijack what belongs to our people,” he said.

Wike further called on aggrieved politicians to return and work with the coalition, assuring them that there was room for reconciliation and unity.

“I am using this opportunity to forgive everybody. Come back home sincerely and let us work together for the progress of Rivers State,” he said.

The former governor maintained that leadership should be determined by competence and commitment to the welfare of the people rather than ethnicity or religious considerations.

“It does not matter where a leader comes from. What matters is that the person will not make us regret supporting him. Our concern is good governance and the development of Rivers State,” he added.

At the event were the All Progressives Congress, Peoples Democratic Party and Action Alliance governorship candidates, Hon. Kingsley Chinda, Sam Ejekwu and Ben Eke respectively, while that of Labour Party, Chima Bons was represented.

Others like the State Chairman of APC, Tony Okocha, PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), Aaron Chukwuemeka, Senator Allwell Onyesoh, Rivers State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Ambassador Desmond Akawor, Ambassador-Designate to Ireland, Chief OCJ Okocha (SAN), Chairman of the Board of the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Senator Magnus Abe, Niger Delta Development Commission's Executive Director of Finance and Administration and Boma Iyaye eulogized the FCT Minister's ingenuity in bringing together all major political gladiators in the State.

Is that because Tinubu has crashed petrol price for Rivers State people only, since we are not seeing any crash in other parts of Nigeria huh

Deltafirstson:
Although the pump price of fuel was N197 when President Bola Tinubu took over on May 29, 2023, the product now sells for N617 per litre – less than two months after.

In his inaugural address, Tinubu announced that subsidy was gone, fulfilling a promise that all leading presidential candidates made during the campaign.

Nigerians have been lamenting the hardship occasioned by fuel price hike. Amid the lamentation, a video where Tinubu campaigned to slash the price of fuel went into circulation.

Checks by Daily Trust affirmed the authenticity of the video uploaded on the YouTube page of Channels Television.

At his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on January 25, 2023, Tinubu spoke on a number of issues, but those of fuel scarcity and naira redesign made the headlines.

However, Tinubu who spoke in Yoruba language, also assured the crowd that though people were saying petrol price would hit N200, it would be reviewed downward under him.

“The great Nigerian youths, the great Nigerian students, the confident Nigerian youths. This is a revolution. This election is a revolution. They are plotting, but they will fail. They said fuel price will increase and reach N200 per litre. Go and relax, we will bring it down,” he had said in the 7th minute of the video.

With the way it is going with Tony Okocha’s faction, will the end not be the well known Humpty Dumpty story? With the appeal court insisting that Tony Okocha’s group, supported by Wike, has no leg to stand upon, will it not end in tears for Wike and APC in Rivers state?
Re: 2027: Rivers Has No Option But To Back Tinubu, Says Wike by SixSeven: 12:31pm On May 31
Wike has no option than to back Tinubu is what it sounds like.

Repost

He learned it from the so-called democratic or progressive man 🤡, his boss, Concensus. For Bola to stake his head in Rivers and declare a state of emergency but he never did in Plateau, Niger and everywhere else there has been mass killing is proof that politics is his favorite subject, not governance. Wike is proof that Bola is not a true democrat and the power he has today is for his selfish reasons. This further confirms that Tinubu did not win Rivers state so he has to use force in the state.

Tinubu's path to victory is

1. Voter apathy

2. Divided opposition

3. Force/threat (he has been using this in Lagos for long but with federal resources, he now has governors like Okpebolo, Wike, SP Akpabio who's always assuring that he will win and others to threaten people to vote him or else)

4. Money (what's your price? This is why he and Atiku are two sides of a coin. In a poor corrupt country with little morals, many are willing to sell their convictions for the highest bidder)

5. Propaganda (gaslighting, see how they celebrate the uncompleted coastal road, they will accept no responsibility but blame everyone else using religion, tribe and other distraction from the main issue). The way they counted fake millions of vote is gaslight in. Gaslighting is the manipulation by psychological means of a person (or group) which causes them to doubt themselves, their capabilities or their sense of reality.

SixSeven:
Didn't they say he is a democrat? A builder of men? A visionary? That man is just a greedy old man. Who was it that said if you let Tinubu in, he will grab more than he can take? Think about being a landlord of Lagos and Rivers 🤡

The greedy can never be satisfied. What they condemned when they were in opposition, now they are doing it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtjpjOPjuUk

Those who wanted to rewrite his story just made me chuckle. Guy didn't want Fashola serve a second term simply because he wanted to be President. He didn't want anyone to have a record to be compared to him or outshine him. They are just lucky Fashola did not show craze like Ambode did, someone they eventually sent away under the guise of GAC. They now claimed that he made Fashola, he built Lagos, Ambode did not follow master plan. You see how their stories are not consistent. They then called Osinbajo a betrayer. These ones are lords and serfs. Those who refuse to learn history are doomed to repeat it

Amaechi's Defection To APC Is Root Of Rivers State Crisis -- Wike Pt.1

Can you now see the big picture on why Bola holds on to Wike? Lagos, Kano and Rivers are important states. The NNPP governor that went to APC and they thought they had it in the bag, the Lagos government they have been holding for years and now Rivers will still not give them the rigging they desire.

Wike Boasts Of Helping APC Use Judiciary To Kill Osun LG Funds Case, Warns Party Leaders Against Ingratitude

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has openly boasted that he assisted certain elements within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in deploying the judiciary to frustrate the Osun State local government allocation lawsuit.

In a video now circulating widely on social media and obtained by SaharaReporters, Wike made the claim while addressing a crowd in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The former Rivers governor accused the APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru, of benefitting from judicial actions against the Osun State Government without knowing those who did the work behind the scenes.

The suit in question led to the withholding of local government funds in Osun State, a development widely seen as targeting the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke as opposition in the state.

Wike, who spoke angrily, suggested that the court action supporting the APC’s position against the Osun government did not happen by chance, boasting that powerful political forces worked quietly to ensure the outcome.

“Don’t take our support for Mr President for granted,” Wike warned, in an apparent message to APC leaders defending Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara. “You have to be careful about the statements you make. You have to be very careful.”

He accused Basiru of political ingratitude, claiming the APC was enjoying in Osun State without understanding who engineered their advantage.

“Today, you are enjoying in Osun. You don’t know those who did the work,” Wike said. “You are opening your mouth to talk about Rivers State.”

*STOP INSULTING NIGERIANS: An Economy That Works Only in Government Speeches Is a Fraud*

By Chief Akinwumi Akinfenwa

Let us stop pretending.

Nigeria’s economic crisis is no longer about policy mistakes or reform pains. It is about official dishonesty — the deliberate promotion of a success story that millions of starving citizens know to be false.

This government is not merely out of touch.
It is talking down to a suffering population.

*THE BIG CON: WHEN STATISTICS BECOME A WEAPON*

Nigerians are told the economy is improving.

Who exactly is improving?

Certainly not the trader who can no longer restock goods.
Not the civil servant whose salary is dead on arrival.
Not the graduate roaming the streets jobless.
Not the family skipping meals.

Yet, government spokespersons speak with confidence — GDP growth, easing inflation, fiscal discipline — as if numbers alone can cancel hunger.

This is not leadership.
It is economic propaganda.

*LET US BE CLEAR: POVERTY IS EXPLODING*

The World Bank estimates that over 130 million Nigerians now live in poverty. That is more people than the population of many African countries combined.

The government’s response?
Denial. Dismissal. Deflection.

Instead of emergency action, Nigerians are given excuses.

Instead of accountability, they are given lectures about patience.

This is moral failure at scale.

*REFORMS WITHOUT RELIEF ARE REFORMS AGAINST THE PEOPLE*

Fuel subsidy removal.
Currency float.
New taxes.

All implemented with brutal speed — without safety nets, without wage protection, without food security.

The result?

Transport costs exploded

Food prices went out of control

Small businesses collapsed

Purchasing power evaporated

Yet government officials still have the audacity to say “the worst is over.”

Over for who?

For politicians on allowances?
For contractors paid in dollars?
For elites insulated from market prices?

*TAXING POVERTY IS NOT GOVERNANCE — IT IS VIOLENCE*

Only a government detached from reality would increase tax pressure in an economy where:

Real incomes are falling

Unemployment is endemic

Informal businesses are barely breathing

Taxation without prosperity is state-sanctioned extortion.

No serious nation taxes its way out of mass poverty.
You grow production.
You create jobs.
You protect citizens.

Nigeria is doing the opposite.

*THE MOST DANGEROUS LIE: “SUFFERING IS NECESSARY”*

Nigerians are told suffering is inevitable — that pain today guarantees prosperity tomorrow.

History disagrees.

There is no economic law that says reforms must destroy lives. There is no justification for policy brutality. There is no excuse for indifference to hunger.

When leaders ask citizens to suffer while they remain comfortable, the social contract is broken.

And broken contracts do not heal with speeches.

*THIS IS WHY PEOPLE ARE ANGRY*

Not because Nigerians “don’t understand economics.”

But because they understand injustice.

They understand when:

Markets say one thing

Kitchens say another

Government insists everyone is wrong except itself

Anger grows when truth is denied.

Silence should not be mistaken for acceptance.

*A WARNING, NOT A THREAT*

No society survives indefinitely on denial and deprivation.

When governments ignore hunger, hunger eventually speaks. When leaders dismiss pain, pain eventually organizes. When legitimacy collapses, statistics cannot save it.

Nigeria is approaching that edge.

*THE BOTTOM LINE*

An economy that looks good only in official narratives is not recovering.
A government that argues with poverty data instead of fighting poverty has lost moral authority.
A leadership that demands sacrifice without protection is unfit for trust.

Nigerians are not asking for miracles.
They are asking for honesty, empathy, and relief.

Until then, every talk of “turnaround” is an insult —
and Nigerians are no longer in the mood to be insulted.

That's Nigeria politics for you...

But I'm more concerned about this for now👉👉👉👇

All these fake imported religions have destroyed the normal mental processes of a lot of our people.

If you are following any of the two religion, you should know for fact that:

There is no heaven, there is no hell, there is no God (or god), there is no Allah, there are no angels, there are no demons, there are no spirits, there is no life after death, juju don't work, there is no eternal judgment, there is no karma, there was no historical Jesus. All those are figment of human imaginations and tools use by a very few some to control the very many others. The earlier you understand and accept these facts as facts, the happier and merrier your life and existence will be.

The religion you're currently claiming is the religion of your parents, if you were born into a different family of another religion (say Hinduism), that is the exact religion you will practice.

You were born without a religion in you, your factory reset has no religion in it. If you were to be a phone and they do factory reset on you today being a phone, there will not be anything found related to religion in your settings, files and file systems anymore; you learn religion only after your birth growing up.

Islam is idolatry and paganism, Christianity aswell is idolatry - All the world religion is idolatry, including all the Abrahamic religion. Holy communion is idolatory, bowing for a stone call Kaaba of the Bedouin tribes is also idolatory, killing of rams is idolatory, kissing or licking of a stone at mecca is idolatory, throwing of stone at pilgrimage is idolatory too.

Infact, Illah is what the Arabic call God and not Allah. Allah was one of the diety been worshiped before the invention of Islam. That is why muslims will say something like "la ilah ila huwa" meaning Allah is one Illah (God). Have you ask yourself why Prophet Mohammed's father who was an idol worshiper and who lived before the invention of islam has Allah in is name Abdullai== Abdu Allah? It is because Allah has been an idol worshiped by paganists before the Prophet received his revelations.

Nakedly circumambulations of the Kaaba, annual prigrimage to mecca, kissing of black stone, bowing towards the stone (stone worship) are all preislamic pagan practises by the nomadic Bedouin tribe and the same is what they still practice today.

All Abrahamic religion are idolatory, they only package them well and condemn your heritage as evil, whereas, Nigeria was better in terms of morality, honesty and integrity before they brought the foreign religions.

In peace loving, emotional intelligence, love for neighbors, respect for sanctity of life, we are even better than those who brought those religion with primitive leaders and prophets whose morality and characters are highly questionable.

Release yourself today from the shackles of religion. Stop wasting away your life and existence!

If you like, allow one illiterate alfa, imam or pastor to be telling you "you will go to hell". When you die, your dead experience will be like the same experience you had before your conception (pregnancy) ie. There is nothing like afterlife. Or where were you before your mother gave birth to you?
