I just love how this story about Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is so relevant and brought up in this case. Preachers will be quoting this upandan .... but yet ...during COVID-19.... they knew not of this scripture...nor saw it's relevance. Why didn't they stood up and kept the churches opened for worshipping?...why didn't they stood up like this boy and refuse to bow to the administration order? Almost all Pastors....big and small.... never resisted... never stood on the Word of God. If Shedrach, Meshacha and Abednego were Pastors would they have followed the orders?

In these times of inclusiveness.... we've already invited "Satan" and we're seeing the results. Why would they drag Christian kids to a Mosque to participate in their practice?....or drag a Muslim kid to the Catholic Church? ... I'm almost sure he will not be kneeling and bowing to Holy Mary. They came on excursion not religious voyage. The mosque officials should have kept it purely at academic level. No need to call them for prayers since many of them are not adherent of Islamic faith. If a group like boys scout came to church then the visit should have remained as such. You can talk about your faith but calls to prayer can only be made if they decide to become a follower of that faith. Else you are only proselytizing young and impressionable against their adult intelligence

He was seen standing alone with his hands in his pocket while the rest were following the lead of the imam and going to their knees and bowing down their heads.

While I share your sentiment that the boy had no business in the mosque if his parents were told upfront everything that the visit would entail.

However, on a second thought, I think it is equally possible that the parents were not pre-informed that the boys would have to pray in the Islamic way during their visit. If this is the case, the boy is well within his right to have exercised his freedom not to pray in such manner.
