Why not run us through a calculations based on int'l market price present and show us how much Dangote is explioting the masses

let even agree Dangote is wicked & greed , sebi una get Nnpc & independent oil marketers importing why are they not selling cheaper than Dangote

How many times have we seen independent marketers slash prices nd compel Dangote to adjust, it is always the other way round and Dangote is the villian

If not for Dangote, with the oil global crisis going on, Nigerians fall don see shege pro max for oil marketers hand, we will have shortages, maybe na 2500 per litre cos they will easily say strait of hormones 😏 perfect excuse to finish Nigerian patapata

trust this Tinubu govt to fold his arms heap the blame on us iran, and take no responsibility. God bless Dangote more
I didn't condemn him totally if you read my statement but he need to show mercy for his fellow Nigerians. why is he now reducing. it is simply because marketers are be urge by NNPCL to import fuels and he just want to fulstrate them from the market to gain monopoly. like I have always maintain, government be it federal and some oil rich state not investing in the refinery project are foolish.

There are many Nigerians with licences for over twenty years but they prefer to sell it to foreigners as unrefined product. I personally know a kinsman who got oil well from abdulsalam and that is exactly he does. his head office at VI is domicile because no field operations. my cousin resign from his company as one of the engineers because he said you only stay in office doing nothing cos only white men he lease it to them do all field work and pay to the man and he in turn pays salaries. he had to move to PH and get lesser salary then but with a lot of experience. today he owns is own company and playing actively in the oil and gas sector. he told me, that is how most of the licence owners did because they will say who get time to build a refinery when he sit comfortably and money comes to him.
You are absolutely right on this. Presently I am feeling this. My pastor have a refinery license which he wouldn't build. I brought some investors who wanted to acquire the license and build. The ridiculous amount he is calling with the attendant conditions is out of this world. The whole thing really got me upset.

Nigeria has the 6 largest petrol deposit on God's green earth, if we had a functioning govt petrol should be cheaper than a bag of sachet water.

But reverse is the case, and it only happened in the last 15 years since Aparty of Particular Concern took over our affairs.
Kingray10:
Petrol is not supposed to sell above 1050, even with the increase in price of crude.

What I still find it difficult to understand, is why Diesel is more expensive than PMS

With this I feel PMS is being subsided by Diesel, because this makes no sense from a position of production.

And the petrol is unnaturally cheap.
Nah because you never travel abroad you dey talk like this

Diesel is more expensive than petrol in all the Countries I have been to

You dont have to condemn him outright, condemning the one man that did one thing All you leaders n billionaires for centuries refuse to do .. Is unacceptable nii

Business defintion ends with " for aim of maximizing profit" . Dangote is a private individual not public servant not your presidency he doesnt owe Nigeria anything except fairness

Point of correction, base on records n pattern Dangote reduces price accordlying with the changes in int'l market price not import direction ... that as being very consistent, This yeye marketers you are advocating for have never beaten Dangote to price slash ..

As a matter of fact, the marketers you hold brief for are the ones that have cried fowl to the govt, Dangote is not making the market lucrative

IF you believe marketers will import fuel and sell cheaper than Dangote in a time of global crisis you must believe my grandma is a virgin.

Do you know how many decades we were in captivity under those greed wicked marketers/nnpc .. I will chose Dangote evil million times over those uselezz marketers

I've always seen Dangote as a busines man who has nothing to offer Nigeria than to protect his business and interests, for Nigeria to move forward is not about giving licence to people for importation of fuel and other commodities products being produced by Dangote and it's like but i think government should give its approval and encourage more people who have interest to build refinery or factory that want to produce the same commodities that Dangote is producing so that their will be competition

Dangote has been playing with fuel prices. Whenever he wants to hike it, he will first remove #20, then increase it by #350.
Good, he should continue. Tinubu should organize protest against fuei price hike like before

Fuel import license that was granted to importers is doing the magic.

Dangote wants to recoup his investment with a year.

Meanwhile refinery is a deep capital project that the recouping should be spread over 20 years.

Dangote, we are supporting you but please don't suffocate us.
Fuel importers doing that magic of opening the Strait Of Hormuz or US Navy providing security for oil tankers?

NNPC pls issue more licenses. Dangote wants to kill us with monopoly in this country.
So, NNPC issuing import licence is why the Strait Of Hormuz is open and oil prices are falling or US military?

Biggest market manipulation we have in Nigeria is Dangote. Government should ensure more licenses is being given out
How is those licences related to oil prices in the international market?

Gboss247:

Dangote should answer that question. Why is he suddenly reducing prices as he heard import licenses have been issued?
Re: Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol, Diesel Prices Again by Gboss247(m): 3:52pm On May 31
MakindeHassan:
Crude oil prices are falling.

Some people think those calling for import licenses are unpatriotic but it is the only way to keep Dangote competitive.

Dangote’s prices should be slightly cheaper than oil that entered ship 3000 miles away, paid export and import charges, wasted time on sea which brings additional finance cost, but he is more expensive.

If import licenses are given, importers will bring in product whenever his prices go above landing cost of imported products. If his prices stay below or at par then the license will be useless but it will keep him in check.
What is competitive about importing substandard petrol from Europe?
