relocationhub:Okay, thank you for the info.... however I'm still single for now. Secondly I've not applied for IELTS exams, I don't even know the process to follow... |

NNEVERAGAINN:Thanks for clarifying. Since you’re single, the settlement funds requirement will be based on just one person, which is simpler. The next step is definitely IELTS, it’s mandatory for Express Entry and most provincial programs. You’ll need to register for the IELTS General Training exam through the British Council or IDP, choose a test date, and prepare well. If you’re still unsure about your eligibility, that’s exactly what the Relocation-Hub is designed to help with. It’s focused on Canadian immigration and gives guidance on how different profiles fit into the available pathways. Exploring it alongside your IELTS prep will give you a clearer picture of where you stand. |

jimikata:Not even necessary. Take any of their very recent clear pictures showing their face upload to Google Gemini in "create Image" mode and ask it to generate a ICAO International Civil Aviation Organisation compliant passport picture with white background. When done upload the image and verify here: https://passport.immigration.gov.ng/image-compliance When you go for biometrics/physical capture they will take them the live picture that will actually be on their passports. |

Guys please help, what could be the issue with my PNP application with Saskatchewan? The minimum point criteria is 60 points. I have 65 points and I haven't been invited. This is the 7th month after applying and they've done PNP draws after my application

| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by relocationhub(m): 2:43am On Jun 09 |
smartkester:Having 65 points when the minimum requirement is 60 does not automatically mean you should receive an invitation. The 60 points simply make you eligible to enter the SINP pool. Looking at the screenshot you shared, the more important detail is that your entire score comes from Labour Market Success (65 points), while you have 0 points under Saskatchewan Connection and Adaptability. That means you currently do not appear to have factors such as: * Saskatchewan work experience * Saskatchewan study history * Close family in Saskatchewan * Other Saskatchewan adaptability factors In many immigration programs, candidates with stronger provincial ties can have an advantage over candidates who only qualify through human-capital factors. Another thing to consider is that SINP invitations are not always based on total points alone. Saskatchewan may conduct targeted draws based on occupation demand, labour shortages, licensing requirements, or other selection criteria. So it is possible for someone with 65 points to remain in the pool while another candidate with a lower score receives an invitation because their occupation or profile better matches the draw criteria. Since you've been in the pool for 7 months, I think the key questions are: 1. What is your NOC code or occupation? 2. Which SINP stream did you apply under? 3. Is your occupation regulated in Saskatchewan? 4. Do you have any Saskatchewan job offer, work experience, study history, or family connection? Without that information, nobody can accurately determine why you have not been invited yet. From the screenshot alone, the biggest clue is not the 65 points. It is the fact that you have 0/30 points under Saskatchewan Connection and Adaptability. Combined with the possibility of occupation-specific selection, that may explain why you are still waiting despite meeting the minimum threshold. |

Hi all, I wanna ask a question for a friend. Does this qualify for 42201 category?
|
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by relocationhub(m): 7:07am On Jun 09 |
Switchbuck41:Nobody can accurately answer that question based on a NOC code alone. One of the biggest misconceptions in immigration discussions is that eligibility is determined solely by the occupation code. In reality, the outcome depends on a combination of factors, including: * Years of relevant work experience * Education credentials * IELTS/CELPIP scores * Age * Licensing requirements (if applicable) * Immigration pathway being considered * Province-specific requirements Two people can have the same NOC code and end up with completely different immigration outcomes because the rest of their profiles are different. To get a meaningful answer, your friend should share: * Exact job title * Years of experience * Highest education * Language scores * Age * Country of residence * Immigration pathway of interest Otherwise, any answer would simply be speculation. Interestingly, I recently wrote a thread about why many applicants receive conflicting immigration advice online and why profile audits are more reliable than guessing based on a single NOC code. relocationhub:Thank you so much. This is quite explicit. So I'm getting to understand meeting the minimum points alone doesn't matter. All factors must be included. I appreciate this again |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by relocationhub(m): 8:21am On Jun 09 |
smartkester:You're welcome. Yes, that's one of the biggest misconceptions many applicants have. The minimum score is usually the entry requirement into the pool, not necessarily a guarantee of selection. The challenge is that two applicants can have the same score but very different profiles. Factors such as occupation demand, language scores, work experience, education, provincial connections, licensing requirements, and the specific immigration pathway can all influence the outcome. That's why it's often difficult to draw conclusions based on a score alone. A complete profile assessment usually provides a clearer picture than comparing points with other applicants. Wishing you and anyone going through the process the very best. Immigration can be complex, but understanding the full profile rather than focusing on a single number is already a step in the right direction. |

MimithankGod:These certificates don't hold weight. It's either you evaluate your ND, HND, Bsc, MSc or PhD. Canada doesn't value these Nigerian certifications |
