Good evening everyone As regards the case of kidnapping in oyo, I observe one scenario and I can spot the hypocrisy from a million miles away, ever since the issue of oyo happened, some people have been very happy and creating threads to mock the victims everyday...u will see lines like *Election have consequences *Shebi their man is the president *At least they will vote obi now *At least they won't be proud to campaign for him now. The trend is so troubling that u will be forced to ask yourself, did some people do it deliberately to give the president a bad name cos I can't wrap my head around how something bad will happen and some people will start jubiliating and celebrating like they won a trophy. As if that isn't enough, these people jubiliating don't even care about what is happening in their sad, many of them haven't gone home for the past 5 years but they don't care. Many of them can't step foot into their villages because of insecurity Many of them have forgotten the last time they went home because of insecurity. It is on this forum we read about people who have been killed in their place for the past 5 years and it's more than 200 but they don't care but all of a sudden they care about oyo. Is it that oyo lives are so important than lives lost there? |

Oh boy, this matter don enter another level oh. So because of presidency, you have reduced the lives of Oyo people to cockroaches? You are questioning the value of human life in Oyo all in an effort to defend a president who has done nothing to secure the lives of his citizens. Wonders shall never end. |

So with what's on ground, your major concern remains the Igbos? Those people kidnapped are Yorubas like you and you should be blaming the government for where we find ourselves as a country but I guess tribalism has eaten too deeply into you for sound judgement to be possible. |

What happened in Oyo was a tragedy and those mocking them are heartless but they are not different from some of you who mocked Igbos when unknown gunmen were causing mayhem in the East. I remember some of you shared pictures of slain Dr. Akunyili in mockery. Remove the log of woods in your eyes first. |

Op to answer your question yes. Oyo lives are more valuable. Since the north refused to protest, and even try to shut the south down if we protest on their behalf or try to hold their leader accountable. Even the northern leaders know their lives are not valuable over there that's why they refused to enforce western education to better their lives. Only the few elites want to keep lording over the poor masses hence they keep them poor and miserable |

Mrchippychappy:Nobody is saying OYO State people's lives are not valuable. However, it is unfortunate that they want to make Tinubu quail and make his Government unpopular, because of his reelection. Tinubu will win in 2027, regardless of the antics of whoever is responsible for the insecurities |

Counterigbolies:"Many of them can't step foot into their villages because of insecurity" Don't you think the above quote from you is an indictment on Tinubu? You are practically affirming what Nigerians from virtually every corner have been saying regarding the rapidly deteriorating state of security in the country.

Everybody's lives are valuable irrespective of your skin color and tryb. But in the case of this set of people, well I'm going to first bring in MNK warnings about this administration, he warned everybody to be wary of these politicians, but one group of people challenged him, called him all sorts of names, said he's trying to disrupt the administration of their son. They even called for his arrest, of which the same administration granted them and they were satisfied. Now forward to the present reality. The promises of their son has been fulfilled. He hit the ground running, he reduced the purchasing power of the people (both his on people were still affected), he made his administration hell and his people was not spared from the hell too. His people did nothing but still supported him for what he's doing. Now, how can you make the people poorer and still impose insecurity on them. This insecurity of their land started from kwara state, they did nothing but still in support of their son. The second phase was oyo, yet they did nothing but still talking about how he will win 2027. I wonder which of their region will be the third phase. What I'm saying is that, you can be 100% in support of this administration from day one and starts crying now. I remember when these same issues was going on in other regions , many of them were jubilation as if it's world cup, forgetting that what goes around comes around. Now why do you want to cry when the table have turned around? Funny thing, even with what's going on with them, they haven't made any move. And you know what? No body is going to start anything from of protest for them. It's just so unfortunate. Nigerians can never unite in this life. |
