Government is only concern with the next election in 2027. They are concern on how to come back to power and continue their usual trade mark which is impoverishing the citizens. Even this forest guards mobilization to the forest was done due to the voice of Nigerian on social media for the government to wake up and do something to rescue the victims. In Nigeria, Nigerian aren't important to the government. That's the truth.....

Many are just criticizing as if they knows it all. They never see good in any government action.

The forest guards are placed for preventive or proactive measures in order to prevent futuristic occurrences of kidnapping in Oyo State.

Meanwhile, rescuing efforts still on for those in captivity that is handling by our armed forces.

Honestly I don't know the solution. One thing I noticed about Nigerian is that some/many Nigerians have "Stony" heart many are criminal minded,many doesn't fear the consequences of their criminal acts.The most dangerous criminals are does who doesn't fear to die, these set of criminals are the hardest for security agencies to contain and can only be contained by security agents who have same mind and do not fear of dying.

Forget about politics if a new government comes to power these insecurities will still continue.

The major cause of the insecurities is years of systemic failure and mismanagement by those in power,not today's action. The day you fail an exam is not the day you get your report card, the failure already started from when you refused to attend class,read your notes, refused to ask questions on what you don't understand, etc.

The army or police we are expecting to enter the bush and combat these people, many of them joined the force for survival not for the passion of saving lives and properties. If the system is working, believe me over 60% of those security agents will be in other professions. Then those who really have the mind and passion to serve will have the opportunity to get in and it won't be about connection bcoz it won't be competitive.

To be honest I was also among those over 60% I didn't have the liver to take riffle and entered bush to combat bandit, during my time I wasn't going to road block/check point , I didn't have the liver to combat armed robbers but I'm also not the type that take bribe, so imagine having people like me in the force and be expecting us to enter the forest to combat bandits lol.

Those who even have mind doesn't have the moral.

Conclusively our failed institutions over the years bring us to this mess and it'll also take years before the mess can be cleaned (that's if everyone can sit tight).And not only government responsibility.

We need to be PROACTIVE rather than being REACTIVE.

Put forest guards in ALL States including FCT instead of inaugurating them after the deed has been done.

Whether terrorists or not, ALL are humans with possession of weapons as the ONLY thing differentiating both.

Let's not be taken unawares.
