Thanks so much for sharing this here @OP. My 75 years old mother experienced something similar to this for like 2 years after some lumps were removed from her breasts. She even did some sessions of Chemotherapy. Years after, she started complaining about body pains and there was stiffness in her right ankle, pelvic region and right leg. She couldn't move or lift her right leg without feeling a very serious pain linking directly to her brain. She was placed on wheel chair.

We were worried because it wasn't a case of stroke and she didn't fall down. She could lift her arms and other parts of her body were active. The doctor recommended some expensive painkillers and told us not to expect any sudden improvements. The pains became worse until someone introduced us to a product that addressed the hormonal disorder. Now she is back on her feet. Every physiotherapy couldn't help her. We just waster money on physiotherapy sessions with no significant change.

I agree with you @OP on your opinion about the hormonal shift. I guess the chemotherapy sparked up the problem. Thank you once again @OP for this. I know it will really help a lot of people to recover quickly by focusing on the root cause of the problem.

Similar thing happened to my mother of blessed memory before she died. Now I am having some unusual pains in my waist and leg too. The problem is getting the right medication to use. There are a lot of fake drugs out there that will even worsen the situation. A friend recommended a herbal soap, ointment and drink for me. I got the combo for like 300k...the sad thing is that nothing changed. In fact there is nobody to believe anymore.

So why is hormonal shift causing pain and discomfort if it's not arthritis?

While the pain killers are not a solution, I don't think the root problem is well understood.

Many joint issues may point to some form of vitamin deficiencies.

I have a cousin, male who should be in this late 30s suffering from this.. Back pains, knee pains, now shoulder and neck cramps.. So I think it happens to men too

I feel sad as I read this. Unexplainable pains in the wist contributed to the loss of my dear young mother. I wish I had read this I would have contacted you. There was no where of treatment I did not visit.

Not just women, men too!

It's common with middle aged men and women from 40 upwards.

This is true. My mom been complaining so much since early this year and have been visited several hospital and they all said its arthritis but recently my sister that based outside sent drugs to her and told her that it's hormonal thing and she's relaxed now taking the drugs.

For men, body aches and pains are normal after age 30. Exercise and they will lessen. If you suffer aches in ten spots and were given a pill to move the pain to two spots, won’t you take it? Exercise.

Bullshit...No scientific basis for this wrriteup just pure conjecture! If the pain only happened to women you might have a point but it crosses both genders. You're confusing causation with correlation and that's an ignorant way of dissecting issues.

Which of the hormones causes knee pain? Name the hormones that strips away the protection between women's joints? Be specific! You didn't even mention excess weight from childbirth or backing babies, you didn't mention the hours from standing cooking and bending to wash but went straight to hormones.....JUNK SCIENCE!
