You need a very supportive partner/friend who will constantly keep your light of hope burning. Then constant legit effortsssss to bounce back. Note the "sssss", naturally you may need several efforts much more than what you even did initially to make it. It most times appear as if that winning or success spirit has deluded you, like you don'tknow how to do anything again, but you just have to keep keeping on by making several efforts. That supportive partner/friend is very very important as a start, even if it means you sitting someone down to explain to him or her your situation and specifically tell him or her that you don't want money or any other thing from him but ONLY that constant moral support to always give you hope or lift up your spirit, that that is your sole wish from that person. It is greatly needed because there's high probability of more failures, and having failures in such vulnerable state is quite fatal. May God help us all. |

Nigerianxpress:Omo, it took a wise man to tell me that. He said "forget whatsoever statue you had in the past and start from the lowest level". That was the the only thing I needed. After my crash, I was so ashamed to reach out to friends and family. I start well quite early in life. Was too sure of myself. Until I did a bad bad 👎 investment that cost me everything. I begin to sell me property to go back to that level I was before the crash. The crash did not only crushed my finances but also my self confidence. The money 💰 went as well. Now I have lost my company and also my property. After my encounter with that wise man, I started from ground zero. I opened up to some very few friends I have (I am a chronic introvert). Got some funds, attached myself to an acquaintance who's into block industry. Broke away and started mine. Along the way I got my dream job. Left the block industry to my former business. I look back to this period ( late 2023 - mid 2025) and I shade tears 😢. I passed through all these with three sons who are still little to understand. I tried to negotiate with them to reduce their living standards but they wouldn't have any of it. I grind day and night. My wife (chai! I marry wife ooo), she stood by me, encouraged me, prayed 🙏 for me and constantly reminded me of whom I am. As a married man, never ever lose your source of income especially if you have kid(s). I don't even wish tinubu's minions to experience what I did. tinubu e no go better for you. Modified. At this lowest point, Never fall into alcoholism 🍸. If you do the chances of you bouncing back will be slimmer. At this grass phase you need a clear head to think 🤔. |

It's hard but you gotta move on. Don't dwell in your past, learn from it, reflect and build up. You did it before, you can do it again. Focus and grind harder! Most of all, connect with people. |

Sirchiboy:Yes, I have. After my NYSC, I got a job in Abuja through a friend. The pay was so poor that despite working, I still had to call home for financial support just to survive the month. Eventually, I left and returned to Uyo. By God's grace, one of my former bosses employed me, and things started looking up again. I worked there for about a year. Then, in January this year, barely two days after resuming from the Christmas break, we were called into a meeting and informed that the company's contract with the state government had been terminated. We were all asked to go home. That day changed everything for me. The job was my only source of income, and my house rent was already due. Within a short time, I lost my income, lost my apartment, and had to move in with my brother in Cross River State, who was also struggling to make ends meet. I won't pretend it was easy. There were days I felt completely lost and broken. I prayed, fasted, and kept hoping for a breakthrough. I'm still rebuilding my life today. So when people talk about going from grace to grass financially, I understand exactly what they mean. It is a painful experience that humbles you and changes the way you see life. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. But I also believe that difficult seasons do not last forever, and I trust that better days are ahead. As I write this, I am still actively seeking employment and opportunities. If anyone here knows of any opening or is willing to give me a chance, I would be deeply grateful. I am ready to work, learn, and prove myself. My sincere hope is that sharing my experience might reach someone who can help me get back on my feet. Thank you, and may God bless every helping hand. |

I have been there. If you ever find yourself there, it’s not for you to worn yourself out; you simply & sincerely cry for grace from the one who gives grace, work hard with divine instructions, and you will bounce back with much more than you even had. However, remember that time and chance happen to everything. |

Got married, lost my high paying job same month. Wife felt really bad, believed she should be a blessing, not come into a home and them trouble comes. I was strong, I don't believe in such, I always believe "na who give up loose. Few months later, started freelancing and started earning regularly, I then switch to YouTube, built the first channel and then the second channel, the earnings where really high, I stopped freelancing and faced YouTube, felt so nice earning good foreign money steadily, life became really great. One year after, woke up to my first channel taken down, appealed and it was rejected. Two days later, the second channel was taken down for circumvention, almost went crazy. I was back to zero in term of earning. But as much as I felt bad, na who give up loose. Started my own business, tech related, registered as a white label for a bigger tech service company. God being great, things are great again. I tried to summarize everything, but in everything, I can tell you, just trust God and never give up. It will be as though everything is over, but one day, you will look back and thank God for where you are now. |

Grace to Grass It’s something we should always pray for not to happen in our lifetime, the memories of Grace during the grass days can lead to severe depression |

Sirchiboy:That's was 2021. My big breakthrough came in 2018. I bought a house (not build), bought two cars was balling like tomorrow no dey, then came 2021 which things went to zero. I had to sell my properties to stay afloat although non of my friends or family knew this except my mother. It was bad, then came 2024 when everything changed for the better. Yes that's life it happens |

Yes I have. Fortunately, I have had prior experience being down in the grass, so it didn't really seem like a big deal. I simply see as a lesson to understand that life is full of ups and downs, and that things will not always be rosy. The best you can do is to pick yourself up and do all you can to climb up to grace again. |

When you know that your woman truly loves you is when you experience grace to grass. A girl who's dating a broke guy knew what she signed up for. However, a lady whose boyfriend has spoilt with goodies and he suddenly goes broke is most likely to dump him. |

The worst experience for a man. It's better you never experience the grace at all than experienced it and then remain in grass level. The worst feeling is when those you helped will betray you or totally avoid to even pick your call. Trust me it the worst feeling and I pray I get another chance of grace. Amen |

I discovered surveys and used it to pull out, but in the process I sold the expensive things I own to stay afloat. My phones, laptop, bike, worst thing that can happen to you while going through this is to have a partner that doesn't help you in any way, I have no family to help out and my girlfriend is one stingy self centered person, so I just went offline and stopped communicating with her and every other useless people in my life, some won't even pick your call, they're only friends when the going is good, I isolated and focused, started a fresh and look for new hustles, at the end na surveys help me, things started improving after a gruelling three months, it's not entirely over but I'm thankful for the experience I singlehandedly pull myself out of. |
