Nigeria is dealing with absolute poverty and an unprecedented cost-of-living crisis driven by epileptic governance l. Pointing to Europe to justify our economic challenges is a distraction, bad governance is bad governance, regardless of global trends.

Comparing Nigeria with Germany is a non starter anyway.
Nigeria is a poor country especially when Compared with a country like Germany.
Nigeria does not have thr luxury of injecting any serious funds to assist her citizens like Germany can.
Germany is the richest country in the whole of Europe and one of the richest in the world.
Nigeria is poor especially when you take into consideration the population and annually income.
Economy is terrible right now all over the world even here in the US. Prices have gone up exponentially.

CNN is an international news corporation whose business model is global reporting. A nairalander sharing a specific article on nairaland is usually doing so to make a point or support a narrative. I sabi una wella. When una selectively share news about European inflation right now, it is almost always used as a political shield to imply, if the West is struggling, don't blame our local leaders. So me pointing out, I am not questioning the news, I am analyzing how the news is being weaponized to deflect from local policy failures.
