Is what he posted factually incorrect ? Nope.
You will rather your fellow wailers live under the impression the economic turmoil is only peculiar to Nigeria when it's not.
Nigeria is actually doing much better than many countries that your candidate was promoting previously such as Argentina.
It's not only CNN that post news and information on Nigeria. Other bloggers do to for their followers.
In the internet age, anyone can post news of interest.
I know it's ok for you to see news that portray Nigeria in bad light not those that shows that the country is not as bad as you wish others to believe.
Argentina is improving. Currency is getting stronger again for example.

How did you make it to Germany?

They are sharing fiscal data with you and you posting pictures instead of presenting data to counter Op.

Oh! You just wanted us to know you are in Germany?

And also took a lot of fiscally strong solutions. That 40 billion is just short term stopgap...and to qualify for it they had to among other things cut government spending, and also reduce waste, and so forth. And it would run out.

Millei is doing more than just accepting money.

Long term goals have to be met.

Most of us, just dey collect loans, don't cut costs.

Nigeria didn't need 40 Billion stop gap to stabilize her economy and currency.
Nigeria took measures that will expand the economy in the long run. The Naira is now relatively stable. No more fuel shortage and there's a positive outlook on the economy by all economic experts. The economic indices points to positive future growth.
Argentina is still worried about stabilizing their pesos.

So people can't post and.read news from other parts of the world?
What are they trying to achieve when other people in other parts of the world post news about Nigeria and other African countries?
Your view is sickening and asinine.
Your problem with the post is that it shows that inflation and economic problems is world wide right now and you would rather have some gullible people think that it's only peculiar to Nigeria and this government.
Please don't try to put yourself in the same group as those other serious minded countries. When you hear them say "poverty" over there, it's a completely different thing compared to the wickedness you see in Nigeria.
Nigeria is being led by heartless tormentors.

Well, we haven't fought corruption, cut the size of the civil services, we still keep subsides on electricity and education and our tax system does not even begin to cover the gap in financing for the budget that is needed, plus we still lose trillions of naira to illegal mining....among other things.

We got a long way to go.

What is the OP trying to achieve 😁
Let’s not use Germany to excuse local mismanagement. Germany’s "poor" still have access to running water, functional healthcare, electricity, and public transport. Nigeria is dealing with absolute poverty and an unprecedented cost-of-living crisis driven by epileptic governance l. Pointing to Europe to justify our economic challenges is a distraction, bad governance is bad governance, regardless of global trends.

They also pay the kind of rates that would enable them to afford all that, plus not all can afford three square meals. Some of them have to go to food pantries set up by charites to manage that. ANd some poor people go hungry.

A Nigerian can get food for less than a dollar a day, for breakfast and be satisfied. A poor german served the kind of breakfast a poor Nigerian go eat would be very angry.

Many of you Nigerians want 24 hours of electricty...without paying what it takes to get 24 hours of electricity. Even the services poor people get there are paid by heavy duty taxes. Here in Nigeria, 99% of the rich don't pay tax, most of the informal sector does not pay tax, and our gdp is low because it relies on ioyel rather than industries

As for that electricity, a lot of poor people struggle to keep the lights on. Some conserve energy like not using too many lights, not using the electric heater, etc.
You have the time explaining to people who only see aeroplanes on TV.

Time has almost run out for Nigeria to reverse its current economic decline. It will likely get much worse if we don't do something drastic.

The recent breakthroughs with AI will soon hit Nigeria and Africa hard in general with job losses, as multinationals and large companies (even smaller ones) adopt automation and find other ways to handle customer care and service delivery.

Nigeria needs leaders who can stir it in a new direction and drastically reduce wasteful government spending.
Nigeria is not on an economic decline, it is only in your head. Nigeria just had its fastest quarterly gdp growth in 13 years. None of the blockieeeheads currently frontliners are anything close to the current president. Even with Naira liberalisation and deregulation that saw a near convergence of exchange rate across all markets and saved Nigeria from collapse, the Nigeria economy is growing. The tax reform act, the fuel subsidy removal, Dangote's refinery expansion and naira liberalisation, State police control of local security ongoing reform that is at advanced stage are some of the jokers that will continue to provide an uptick to Nigeria's economy. Nigeria's macroeconomy is progressing , even though there is a strain at the micro economy for many reasons including faster population increase and low income per capita, entrenched corruption within the average Nigerian.

No one should give presidency to those who wants to pander to some understandably shortsighted Nigerians. We have crossed the rubicon.

The easiest job in the world is to talk about myriad of problems, but very few have PRACTICAL solutions to these problems.

Cheap Russian energy used to power German & European industries.

It made them competitive and on par with the U.S.

They cut themselves off it and fell off. Poverty and inflation on the rise. Debts mounting.

13 Million People In Germany Live In Poverty As Rate Skyrockets To 16.1%

🇩🇪 Germany's poverty rate surged to a record high of 16.1% in 2025, leaving around 13.3 million people listed as poor, according to a report released on Tuesday by the Parity Welfare Association, an umbrella group for charitable organizations in the country.

“Social divisions in Germany are widening. 13.3 million people live in poverty, and the poverty rate has risen to 16.1 percent.

"At the same time, the gap between regions and demographic groups is growing. While poverty is increasing overall, it is becoming particularly entrenched among older adults, women, and single parents," Joachim Rock, the executive director of the association, said in a statement.

“We are seeing a society that is drifting further apart socially. People can feel this. Discussing yet more cuts now fuels fear and uncertainty. This plays into the hands of populists and extremists,” he added.

According to the EU's definition, people are considered at risk of poverty if their income is below 60% of the national median. In Germany, that threshold was €1,446 ($1,683) per month for a single-person household and €3,036 for a household with two adults and two children under 14.

The report said many households were having a hard time to cover everyday expenses as 6.9% of the population lacked sufficient income last year to meet regular living costs, among them higher energy bills and replacing essential household appliances.

With a poverty rate of 19.5%, nearly one in five people aged 65 and older is now affected. Among women over 75, the figure is as high as 21.3%. People living alone face a particularly high risk of poverty at 30.3%, while single parents face a risk of 28.9%.
