Poor analysis. During 2008 euro and 2010 world cup, Iker Casilas outstanding performance was a major part that made Spain to have good campaign in those tournament. Also Madrid had Sergio Ramos, Xabi Alonso, etc but you lot always claim these glory for barcelona. That time Spain had players from other clubs too.

Gonzalo Gracia might not be a starter but he's better than some strikers that are called up. Dean Huijsen started almost all qualifying rounds for Spain and he wasn't that too bad and below par for Real Madrid. How many matches did pedri played?

Your points are invalid. For a player in Real Madrid to make Spanish team, must they be a super star? I know Spain won't make it past quarters.

Even, withing those period, players like Xabi Alonso, Arbeloa, Ramos, Albiol and Casilas where in the national team, but I can confidently tell you only Ramos and Casilas were a standout. Alonso, Arbeloa and Albiol were just to represent the 'Madrid quota'. This is not saying the guys were not good and performing then, but they were other players who could have been picked in place of them, but for quota system.

Xabi Alonso is the person you are yabbing like this. Xabi was one of the best Spanish midfielders in his time at Real.

Football is a team sport and anyone who says Alonso was not important for Spain was too young to watch Spain or simply delusional. However, Puyol, David Villa, Pedro, Pique, Puyol, Iniesta and Busquet all started the world cup final. That's 7/11 players from barca. That's alot. These guys were all barca players at the start of the 2010 world cup. Fabregas was a bench player and wasn't even a barca player during the world cup.
