I want to start catfish on a small scale. Pls advisr me

That's a small drum na, as they get bigger, you will need to get bigger drums.

that's y I said for a small investment with little capital. How many table size fish can contain this size of drum.

Stop asking silly questions, how do you expect us to know?

This is not okay. You can temporarily keep your kish here, but it will not be nice to raise them inside this drum.

From fingerlings you can put 100 or even more, but with time they will need space as they grow bigger.
Since your aim is table size, 15 -20 fish could fit in there.

I would suggest you get old geepee tanks, and start from there.

Best used at the fingelings stage . It can take up to 200 fingerings but as they grow, you need to provide extra spaces. The container should be able to accommodate 50 - 60 table size catfish

For catfish in quantity,width is very important and not height

Another is, you really don't need much dept beyond 5 or 6-inches as even if the container / pond is 10ft deep, you should fill it just up to about 4 feet and the rest (at least 2 feet) to prevent them jumping out mistakenly. You often need more of width than dept / height

Also at this kinda small scale, na you dey feed those selling Fish feed and other things as you actually s pending more except you're able to improvise means to keep cost very very low

Same with those keeping poultry of less than 100 birds. To me, except the chicken dem dey chop around the bust / compound, buying feed as main means of feeding them is waste of money. Kukuma take that money go buy crates of egg.

Another is, if you got your own land, get aboki dem to dig like 6ft deep and whatever width (though at least 6ft long and 5ft wide), use tapoline or cement to make it water prrof and do your thing there

You could plant Azolla and the likes around to help further cut down cost of feeds and probably even construct small poultry overHead using low cost materials in a DIY way

all am saying he should treat those animals with respect to how they live....that bucket is too small....

This 1000L tank will accommodate 100fishes comfortably (Table Size).

None. And that's the simple truth.

No matter how small scale it is, you are expected to start with a 1000 Litres tank.
That white tank, is usually used by every starter.

FYI, catfish do not utilize high-fiber plants; ie. Azolla, etc as efficiently as animal-based protein sources, small overhead poultry? go too over-pollute the water, over-reduce dissolved oxygen and increase ammonia deposit inside the water, even Azolla inclusion level as a part of an alternative feed mix material no suppose pass 8% due to anti-nutritional factor meaning nutrients absorption by the catfish go dey poor- quote me anywhere.

The Azolla, _SERVER['HTTPS'], etc ain't for complete feed replacement but to grately cut down feed costs. And even if you decides using it 100%, so long you not in a hurry and for personal consumption, no issue.

As for the overHead poultry, it's mostly to reUse the space THAN it is to feed the fishes
