HIV HIV HIV ona nor go let person breath
Disease dey when dey kill infact death sentence
I go check TikTok na HIV and AID
I go enter nairaland na hapatitis B and C or bloated stomach either kidney or liver
Nawa I reject any negative thoughts
Funny enough I have done hapatitis B and C because of ona nonsense post only for the test to show negative
I go do staphylococcus, and syphilis only for it to come out positive
HIV negative so what does that mean now
Staph is a normal bacteria on everybody's skin.
Testing positive for syphilis is what you should worry about.

The disease is even more prevalent in many states that are sitting below. The fact is that they're not testing that's why they think they're not infected. Do aggressive HIV test in this country and you'll be surprised at what you'll discover in many of those states who think they're safe.
Exactly my thought i expected the so-called statistics to show the postive results out of number of people tested not just the results because a state with 100 hiv infected out of 120 people tested is higher than a state with 1900 hiv infected people out of 20,000 people tested.

Who do us like this that everything is always "almost", "nearly" but always not quite up to standard.

Furthermore simply because some states like lagos topping doesn't mean those people are yoruba or lagosians they maybe part of the Anambra number for all i know grin as i saw someone saying delta why... i guess he has concluded that all the hiv infected people in delta are from his villiage.

Are we looking away from a silent crisis?
While the headlines focus on politics and the economy, the latest health data reveals a sobering reality. Over the last three months alone, thousands of Nigerians have tested positive for HIV.
Is your state doing enough regarding testing, awareness, and prevention?
Here is the official breakdown of newly tested HIV-positive patients across Nigeria between March and May 2026, according to the National Data Repository.
High numbers can mean two things: a higher spread, or simply better, more aggressive testing campaigns in those states.
👇 What do you think is driving these numbers in your state? Are advocacy programs fading, or is healthcare access improving?
Drop your thoughts in the comments below. Let’s talk about it.

Funny enough if you have done HIV program or have have worked across different health facilities in several states in Nigeria, you will agree/realize that there could more cases in the North than any part of Nigeria. Only that they don't go for HIV testing and the risk is higher there because of multiple partners and high rates of divorce

Most of those recorded didn't willingly carry out the test, mostly health issues and prevailing symptoms then Doctors suggest they take the test and the results came out positive as presumed...

States with more brothels with individuals that doesn't see casual sex as a big deal are topping the list.

Lagos with over 20m population, has 1949, this doesn't surprise me given the population and ethnic diversity in Lagos. Percentage-wise, that's one of the lowest.

But Akwa Ibom & Benue, states with 4-5m population, have consistently had a high rate of HIV transmission over the years. Wetin dey occur for those 2 states? 🤔
When there is poverty in the land all this are expected.
