Did Groovy train to be a presenter after the show or he was one during their edition? His case reminds me of Khloe who was a talented fashion designer but chose during her two chances to constantly fight rather than promote herself. Bayo also comes to mind. That one was a tailor by trade who chose to badmouth others’ creation rather than give advice.

Is this how Chidera Eggerue wants to introduce herself into the Nigerian market? I thought she was a successful author overseas. Nobody will take her serious from being attached to a reality show.

So I watched the first 4 episodes twice ... It's a breath of fresh air from BBN

As there is still a bit of originality in it... Maybe it's because it's the first season...

1. Toria is a low budget Dede of the last BBN
2. Latifah and Chidera are sexy sweeties... But Latifah sounds and acts like someone that will be loose..
3. Hilda is a beautiful no nonsense baby
4. Shekinah be acting like NEPO baby.. acting all posh
5. Kena is the most put together guy ... I love his bonding with Chidera... Reeks of sensual maturity
6. Henri has babyish but is bad boy ashawo
7. Igwe is overrated and still for the streets... Till the next five to ten years he will still be searching 😂
8. Alvin keeps acting matured maybe it's the moustache he needs to get raid of
9. In episode one Henri was the first one to approach and talk to Latifah ... So hearing Ken giving her an order to severe all talks with him was just childish... I dont blame him... He had to do away with Toria because of her... So tit for tat. Obviously he is seriously hanging on to her
10. The last set of new singles that entered until we see the new episodes sha

Abeg o.. I pray it's more than the 6 episodes in total o... Because Igwe mentioned they will be in the house for 30 days... Obviously not everyone... Because by the time they pair up.. those left single will go

I stumbled on one episode two weeks ago. The show is not on Catch Up so I can’t experience a detailed watch. I’ll check ShowMax in future. Too many commercial breaks during the time slot killed my enjoyment.

The risqué nature of the show is surely CANAL+’s doing. Finally, a company which realizes business is more than pandering. I believe upcoming Big Brother seasons will reflect the change.

Thirty days? That’s a rush. Before one can settle down, the show will wrap up. Contestants on the program are at home right now watching it with the viewers. I wonder how winners are selected. Maybe it’s advertised as a one-month holiday with payment attached.

That Sunday night slot is not it at all. I could swear I caught the show on a Thursday night. One aspect I like is the one episode per week format. If it was every day, our amateur production team would bore viewers with dead air.

I think it will be 12 episodes.. 12 weeks

Four or five episodes into Heartbeat. I can’t concentrate fully for forty-two minutes. It serves as background noise while I browse the internet. There is no way this is happenstance. Which foreign program was copied? I’m guessing Too Hot 2 Handle.

It seems the format of the show is four to six weeks of programming with weekly episodes getting compiled after four days of activity. That’s a good way to stretch things while keeping everything fresh for the contestants. My guess is the whole thing was recorded around mid November to mid December then released in January. The people on our screens are literally at home watching themselves with us.

Will there be a winning couple or will the series conclude with zero resolution? I don’t watch dating shows. I have no idea how they end.

I finally managed to know the names of all the males. Typical of me regarding reality shows. The only love guests causing me confusion are Ceeoni and Toriah due to their similar skin tone. Women can never handle rejection. The new girl who Kena repeatedly shunned was officially eliminated. Her friend who no guy showed interest in walked, claiming “family issues.” At least the lone male who was eating and filling space waited to be eliminated. Being a man is not easy.

Chidera understood the assignment. I’ve never seen her work out aside from their forced morning routine. It is safe to say exercise is not an activity she fancies. What she did was likely hire a trainer to whip her into shape for the show. Her temporary tattoos add to the appeal coupled with tight-fitting clothing. She’s a dirty female. Her locker is always unkempt. Kai, at her old age. I could swear Ikenna was Bally’s little brother. I still believe he is under a fake name. That face is unmistakable. The other girls range from moderately attractive to outgoing personality-wise while blessed with high metabolism. The females do not exercise. No shock there.

All in all, this is how Ultimate Love should’ve gotten broadcasted. I want to watch twenty-four hours of the show for at least three days, although this is the better option. Once a week programming will not build a fan base. Most people will catch the show when available then move on once it ends.

One more episode before Heartbeat ends. The host said the love guests spent twelve weeks in the house. Production did a terrible job if a full week of activities produces a mediocre forty-two minute episode.

These housemates (I’m a Big Brother enthusiast) sold their market very well. Igwe, Alvin and Kena will be rushed by sugar mommies. It won’t surprise me if ex-BBN alumni gave them promotional advice beforehand. One or more of these men will surely be in gossip blogs for becoming a politician’s wife’s side piece. Without a doubt, Chidera will be mobbed by politicians wanting a taste. As I dey, I will spend 300K for a two-day girlfriend experience — no shame in admitting it. I liked what I saw. She sold her market well and didn’t break the mold of being an IJGB. She should thank production for showing her best sides. I still do not know why she didn’t show off her intellectual side. I’m guessing experienced women in the game adviced her that men don’t care for female achievements. Queen Latifah (was there any special way of spelling it? Meh, it’s not BBNaija. I couldn’t sit to learn it) go dey all right. She seemed the type to already garner male attention outside. She knows what to do. Toriah and Shikenah will have to learn how to handle lust-filled males in the real world. Them go tire once male fans show interest. Ceeoni and Hilda will return to regular lives. They seem the type who’ll hide from the spotlight.

The final dinner; one could tell these housemates thought they signed up for Big Brother before briefing during the final hours. Why does Multichoice do this? There are Nigerians who will sign up for almost any reality show these days. No need to trick them. Ultimate Love also had this deceptive marketing for the contestants. Just tell them they’ve applied for XYZ show and information will be supplied when they enter the house. It will confuse their friends and relatives until they appear on TV. Multichoice, do better.

It seems there will be an overall winning couple on the show. Let me see how they will be selected. Every couple so far has played their best to give off a happily ever after situation. Them really dey fool themselves. If it works, good. I won’t fault them. Why the satisfied couples didn’t walk off earlier in the show, I will never understand. I still feel a few had eyes on others’ “properties.” Big Brother and the real world showed me that not every pairing is successful and not everyone will be shown interest. Igwe during a BBNaija season would be fought over by two vocal girls while having two admirers too scared to mention their lust. All the guys would lust for Chidera and Latifah — the guys mentioned it in the last episode. I was correct. They’d do so from afar. Bosah with his soft look and average mannerism would be ignored. Henri would’ve faced the same situation I saw him go through during the show.

See me don type epistle based on show wey I no watch the first four episodes. It is well.

Too Hot 2 Handle. Tsk. Figures. I wonder why we Nigerian viewers crave the tepid broth of televised romance when we could just feast upon the jagged, strategic brilliance of shows like Survivor, The Challenge or The Traitors. Hell, even Bad Girls Club has more dramatic firecracker moments. Is it a national allergy to grit and strategy? Surely, people who get laid regularly don't fawn endlessly like this over mindless TV romance. It really sucks. We bypass the gritty survivalism of serious shows for the perfumed nonsense of matchmaking shows. Quite the tragic trade-off, if I do say so myself.

Nobody won the show Heartbeat. What was the point of watching? When I saw the final episode was a reunion, I decided to skip it. For those who follow the show every edition, enjoy this year’s BBNaija. I long got tired of everything the program had to offer.
