From the look of things, It's the Salah Holiday and the school being a Christian school refused to go on holiday and that's very very wrong, I guess that was why the Commissioner went there with camera.

The commissioner should be fired for

1. Disrespecting his subordinate
2. Insulting the fathers in front of the children
3. Interfering with their work without permission
4. Violating the privacy of the young children (he took a camera and shared the video with us)
5. Not following due process. He just said I am the commissioner, he didn't talk to the school, no forewarning and even if it is a surprise, he did not meet the school authorities first at least from the video he showed us. If he did, he won't have to introduce himself that way.

I said that parents today are the main problem with education today. Their ITK is destroying education. They don't know that teachers are their deputy parents for that period of school. If they think they can do the job, homeschool your child. Our parents had the wisdom to cooperate with teachers not these ones that want to do the teachers work and complain about everything. They don't think about teachers as partners in education, they see them as people to always be corrected and evaluated. Kneeling has never killed a child, I believe that's is a catholic school and most dont observe Muslim holidays. We never observed any back then when I was in Secondary school too.

Maybe he could go to the seminary and asked them to go on holiday for a Muslim break...

In I didn’t watch the video but I think what the commissioner is against is telling the students to come to school on a public holiday and punishing them for being late on an official non school day. Before you argue that it is a private school know that government license all private schools and you sign to abide by specific rules and regulations. I may think that before it escalated to this maybe the school has been previously warned to desist from such acts and it turned a deaf ear.

Good question. Why are the pupils in school on a public holiday? That's what the Commissioner may not know but when they have exams or they missed some school days, I know some schools make up for it. We all don't know, the commissioner doesn't know and he goofed big time for not knowing. Why? Because he started from the end. He never asked. He then concluded on what he didn't know by making a conclusion of a topic he doesn't have all the information on🤡

Are you telling me the parents are not aware their children are in school on a public holiday? Will he take them back home?

Inasmuch as I don't like how missionary schools are in disobedience of Public holidays (especially Islamic holidays) the Commissioner has no right to shutdown the school.

Most of these children are picked up by their parents or guardians. Should he forcefully close it before the closing time what happens when a child or more children get missing considering the current national situation?

I'm so ashamed of this Professor.
How did he even become one. There are other ways of resolving issues like this. What happens if some of those children get missing while on their way home. There are families so structured that it's the parents or uncles or aunties that pick them up from school. There are children that have never gone home by their selves and you just bark out orders for them to be dismissed and go home.
These mofos just want to intentionally destroy the sociocultural fabric if this nation so other people's generation can serve theirs.
He has emboldened those children to misbehave henceforth, after all, the commissioner will deal with the school admin.

What kind of power drunk is he? How many times did he intro himself -I am the commissioner of education, Prof dz and dat!!!!
State schools have collapsed , there is a reason people send their wards to Mission schools- they still have some level of discipline and kneeling down is not a crime.
Lastly, schools can choose to be on pub holiday or not especially catholic. We never observed anyone during my own days.
He could have talked to the school authorities before all these bruhaha
