Ever since then, it has been one calamitous government of looters to the other, deceiving it's people with Lugard's "One Nigeria" while greedy selfish politicians loot, line their pockets as poverty, insecurity spreads, standard of living continues to drop over bad government policies, and rising ecomomic costs. Today, you have a hopeless country torn between extreme sectionalism, hateful tribalism, ethnic intolerance and religious extremism, a country without a soul where evil leaders thrive, where unbridled corruption, shameless looting, brazen injustice reigns supreme with no end in sight or reprieve for the afflicted masses.....

In 1999, just like Lugard's forced amalgamation of 1914, Nigeria returned to democratic rule under a forced fraudulent constitution that no consent was sort or input made by any indigenous people over it's creation. A gang of political vultures, never do wells converged, rewrote the name of an existing military formulated constitution as Nigeria's democratic constitution, another great injustice on a people that suffered years of British colonial dehumanization and military government brutality. An injustice that till this day continues to flourish, it's adverse effects continue to spread as the destruction agenda of the people continues....

In the midst of the hopeless miserable state that Nigeria has become now, my questions to all ordinary Nigerians reading this post, those who wake up daily to bear the brunt, to face these injustices is this.....

- Why do you continue to defend the chains of your oppression?

- What are you gaining as an individual from defending the 1999 constitution that only seeks to safeguard this British colonial dehumanizing creation you were forced into without your consent, an entity that has since been proven to be a failed project which it's continued existence only serves to propagate misery and injustice in your life?

- What is there to be proud of being a Nigerian?

If anyone can answer these questions and make a convincing argument in defense of the monumental mess called Nigeria, I will make a public apology to all users of this forum and jettison my stand over a referendum to end Nigeria....

Besides many advantages, one of the sole purpose of a sovereign state like Nigeria functioning together as an indivisible state is the space it occupies on the world stage.

If Nigeria, the most populous black nation on planet earth should disintegrate into factions and pieces, it does not only set Africa further back another half a millennium but sets the entire Black Race apart symbolically as an Unorganized and an Inferior Race on earth, and to the other 2 human races, i.e the Caucasian/European Whites and the Arab/Asiatic People. And much so why we are charged with the responsibility of keeping it together even when it means fighting years of primitivism amongst ourself. Individualism is not enough, unless we can see the broader picture.

For instance, our lack of collectiveness is deeply rooted inside us to the point that it is evident even in the most minute aspect of human participations. FAMILY.. a black man standard of marriage compared to the other race is not the same. This i don't mean as an individual but collectively as a whole. Even with other blacks who are citizens of other parts of the world. So for one, we are charged with the collective responsibility of upholding the mantle for the black race, no matter how ignorant we are of it's significance

As to the advantages of Nigeria as a country, there is a lot to it than what meets the eyes. While it may be difficult to see currently because of challenges the country has been facing, largely short sightedness in terms of policies, directions and personnels who has led the country, not just from the current administration but concurrently with previous ones, one of the most singular advantage we have is not just our population alone, but also our landmass.

Majority of lands in Nigeria is still unused. And same goes for it's human resources. But back to the landmass. An unused land is not only guaranteed future assets but one of the most valuable assets in this world. Land remains the most singular indistinguishable asset God gifted man and we are blessed with a lot of it collectively as one nation.. Not just for Agriculture which will feed us, our neighbors, and that's not including exportation beyond the shores of Africa. But also future innovations, and the previous ones from the new world we are trying to catch up with and emulate.

The shift to major cities will subdue when it reaches it states of diminishing returns and people start looking beyond the horizon of city migration alone for opportunities. Keep in mind, we haven't built our first Tech City yet, our first Agro Industrial City is not yet built, Holiday Towns, Connecting market zones between cities or states, even border towns are still in their most undeveloped states as the future manufacturing hubs and factory locations and these are just to name a few. Then there's our culture, our collective strength on the world stage which is another topic of it's own but for these, I will keep it at landmass only

While we may be plagued with insecurities, lack of national agenda, decline in National Orientation etc the advantage of staying together is way more higher than the advantage of dissolution in anyway. What makes a country prosperous isn't just people of one tribe, but a diversity of people with differences in idea and ways of life, all of which will be advantageous to each other when properly annexed and used for the greater good of the collective whole.

The opportunity that exist in Nigeria being a nation is not only mind blowing to any reputable economist but the business community as a whole. The homogeneous challenges we are facing is merely a byproduct of some radical mindset that still seats at the forefront of the individual in survival mode who is yet to see there's only limit to how far he only can go without the whole collective whole..

I can go on and on about other relevant aspects of it, but the reality is no matter how I try to painstakingly explain it for or to someone who can't see it, it wouldn't necessarily matter much because of the predisposition they already have towards the idea of why Nigeria as a country and as the most populous Black Nation on earth must stand indivisible.

Kanu was supporting GEJ and Pdp. The moment GEJ lost, he switched to working with Uwazuruike to set up Radio Biafra and was made the Director.

When GEJ said Igbos were the pillars of his administration, there was no noise from Kanu then. The moment they took food from his table, he started Biafran agitation.

The point remains, field "Ndigbo leaves Nigeria" first candidates and see how many votes they get.

That's a good yardstick to determine how many Ndigbo want to leave or stay. Once your candidates win by a landslide, I bet you the wheels of seff determination will start turning rapidly.

Once that is done to determine that major Ndigbo don't want to stay in the federation, then you can start bringing other (Southern) tribes into it to help support things.

Many south east politicians are sellouts and betrayers of their people. As it stands, there cannot be a referendum without a revolution. Nigerians especially Southerners must rise up and demand it through a revolution. If people don't do push for it then nothing will change as none of these corrupt politicians currently benefitting from the contraption will want or allow such a bill in the National Assembly. ...
