Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, has stated that the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, is in a sensitive position as the terrorists who kidnapped teachers and pupils in Oyo State were demanding for weapons, money, law conession and other things that would be difficult for the government to completely agree with.

At this point, the use of force has to be employed in rescuing the kidnapped victims. I cannot rule out the possibility of collateral damage as some of the victims may be killed in the process. Should the government proceed with the negotiations with this kind of demand from the kidnappers, they should be ready for more at a very high scale in the state.
