Iinnov8:To some of us, these prices are HIGH (because we probably saw it cheaper else where) yet we later come to wonder why ours ended up acting like placeHolders. Suggestion: mayBe include the capacity range of system that should need this make person wey him setup too small or too big no go order. |

House I need your help with information needed so I do not make mistakes a novice, that I am, would make. I want to install a solar electrical system for my game shop and I would like to hear what you'd recommend for this setup Here are the contents of the shop. Note that the wattages I put there are all gotten from looking at the back stickers of each TV Lg LCD 32 inches TV 140w *2 Samsung 32 inches led 56 watts *2 Samsung 32 inches lcd TV 110 watts *2 Samsung 15 inches lcd TV 40 Watts *4 PS2 fat 3pcs PS3 super slim PS3 slim 4 pcs PS4 slim 2 pcs Ps5 1 pc There is an ox industrial 26 inches that I use right now and a plastic fan of 60w. I plan to get rid of both fans and get both DC ceiling fans and DC standing/wall fan so recommendations are welcome pls All games do not operate at the same time, out of a total of 6 PS3, 2 PS4 and 1 ps5 only 6 can be operational simultaneously, although I plan to add one more 32 inches tV as time goes on which would eventually make the operational games seven in number The gamehouse typically operates from 9am till around 11pm. I called an installer to tell me what I'd need to do the installation for the shop and here's what he recommended I do for the setup SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Growatts 6kva solar inverter Growatts battery (5.5 kW/h x2) Jinko solar photovoltaic panels(615 watts) ACCESSORIES AND OTHERS 1 DC SURGE (500) 1 DC BREAKER (32amps) 1 AC SURGE (500) 2 AC BREAKER (63amps)x2 1 DC BREAKER (63amps) OTHERS: 18 way breaker box 4 way breaker box Knife switch change over Trunking pipe(50x50)x3 Photovoltaic panels rails(x3) Photovoltaic panels bot 'n' screws(14) Solar connector /MC 4 plug(2) CABLES: photovoltaic panels DC cable (17 meter) AC CABLE (input) (16 meter) AC CABLE (output) (16 meter) Would this, assuming the items are all good quality, be ideal enough for the gamehouse? |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by chadbasin: 10:37pm On Jun 05 |
jFrankNorfleet:Duravolt 56", it's 26w It's a very good product, I've been using it for 3 years now with no issues |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 11:36pm On Jun 05 |
bassdow:@jFrankNorfleet, forgot to add you could turn a standing fan to Ceiling / wall fan. At home, got more FANs than I need and a few that were occupying Space with not so good stands, I removed the stands and today 2 of them are wall Fans. SheyBi if I hang am upSide down for Ceiling, e don turn Ceiling Fan ? Be Creative, DIY + Improvisation is bae |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Dabss(m): 9:02am On Jun 06 |
Paschal007:just get a PV combination box and then connect to one CC. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 9:20am On Jun 06*. Modified: 9:36am On Jun 06 |
Dabss:2 different strings introduces it's own issues and that's aside extra costs BUT if said inverter supports more than 1 string, then you only bother about extra cable and accessory costs. |

jFrankNorfleet:Which tip exactly? Converting a standing fan into a ceiling fan? Advising you to put your self in danger? Is it the fire hazard waiting to happen or your fan motor self-destructing in a few months time? The Onyibo that designed the motors for ceiling fans and the ones for standing fans, dem no geh sense? Don’t you try that r***ish of converting a standing fan into a ceiling fan. Just stop at only the thought. Just stop there. Replace your fan by buying a new one or take it to repairer to fix it for you (or you simply go to Arena). If you don’t have money to get a new solid fan and you stay in Lag, just go to Arena and buy yourself a used standing fan. I believe you requested to know what brand of ceiling fan to get and someone proffered a popular brand already. Go for Lontor DC ceiling fans or popular brands that are common. These fans can never go bad (they can always be repaired) even if their power board or any component burns except if the motor is burnt. |

twinskenny:that's why I stated that we suppose to have sure plug of good installers here one can reach to. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:10pm On Jun 06 |
Deluxe8000:Once again, How do you suggest we know them or tell them apart OR you expect Me or @twinskenny to tell you we don't know our work well ? You need understand the only way to know who's actually good both at their work and at managing clients is via hearing from previous customers themselves; BUT then, that can easily be abused especially online, and in a faceLess garthering. There are lots of us that barely have rePeat customers. We catch them, suck as much as we could from them and expect they refer us or become rePeat clients. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:16pm On Jun 06 |
jFrankNorfleet:First this list looks like it was copied via searchEngine. Secondly, you failed to equally include the wattage of the Games themselves. it also failed to specify the quantity of solar panels Also except brand names are included, doubt we could do much vetting of the accessories you shared which even don't seem to have enough information to be sure it's for the rated load. meanWhile, shouldn't you try to keep costs low or you sure you would recoup the costs of all these within 2-years from said business? Just wondering. Couldn't respond yesterday because I thought others would have done so by now. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by twinskenny(m): 12:27pm On Jun 06 |
jFrankNorfleet:How many number of 615w panels? Go for direct 16 or 15kwh battery And also the installer need to list the size of cable to be used and also the size of the breakers |

bassdow:repeat clients is a sign of bad work. Sucking clients can make them angry and swear. Are you saying you have NOT a good job for someone in this group that can recommend you? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:50pm On Jun 06 |
Deluxe8000:Guess you meant No rePeat Clients is sign of bad work. Either way, You need understand not everyOne sleeps on this thread. A lot actually got here via search engine and the moment they get their project done, the need for the thread becomes noneExistent. myself often is here because I tend to unWind on nairaland + following mentions and the likes + me sef sometimes want to see argument to argue with. But that doesn't mean there ain't a few on this thread at least once in a while I see them. No worry; client no dey too stress themselves until you do bad work wey you no resolve to some acceptable standard. Funny enough, a lot of times, I don't even know their nairaland handles except they tell me and I took note else I treat everyone alike. Now let me ask: Are you looking for one to assist you handle your project ? if Yes, there are at least 2 people one of which POSTs pictures in here as proof. Why not start with those first. Don't forget, if to say deal no go bad, we for no hear some things in here so no worry. In business; don't 4kUp and if you do, resolve it so the client doesn't remain unHappy. na where people dey mess up be that. Mind you, there also are clients that just ain't human enough. Thanks |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Unfaized: 1:16pm On Jun 06 |
jFrankNorfleet:If you're going totally off-grid I would suggest 10-15kwh battery. PlayStations are power hungry. Try and find out their power ratings though for better recommendations. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 2:36pm On Jun 06 |
prince4pro2:The cooker has no surge hence, you can use the 800 to 1000w from "fry" editable function. Your battery capacity is the main thing here. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by AyarmBoye(m): 2:37pm On Jun 06 |
jFrankNorfleet:but they have given quotes now ….10kwh battery won’t be enough to carry everything from 5pm to 11pm…cause all these loads can hit 3000w or more…..even if you think you won’t put on everything at once,,some days you will like December or holiday periods…I operate a game house/viewing center too |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by prince4pro2: 3:12pm On Jun 06 |
dollarnaira:. On the product description is 1800wats. I hope it won't start up until I select function? Battery to be used on is 2.5khw. |
