Is there anyone who has requested for legalization appointment recently? How long did it take to receive one?

Abeg ehn what is wrong with Nigeria my goodness. I requested date for legalization march 6 just immediately after I was accepted to a university embassy send me date late April for legalization and DoV guess the date? November 18th for legalization and my semester starts September October bro. Bro I hate this damn country bro. The annoying part I don’t know which Italian embassy in Nigeria will accept cimea during visa application I’m so frustrated. I might as well just quit and go to Turkey and do it from there next year cause bro I’m tired. Schegen countries as many as they are all of them have problem even Canada uk Aussie and NZ you just apply online them give you visa without stress if no be money wey no dey and free tuition wetin one carry me go Italy. Bro all these legalize countries and all this rubbish. They know Nigeria so well only authentication and result verification should pass all these stupid nonesense. You Dey legalize document like say person one do politics there. Na wa for these countries bro I’m honestly tired. I don tire. I DON TIRE

Sending out appointment dates well beyond the official school resumption date is just a subtle way of saying "We want your money but we don't want you in our country." It is almost as if they are giving out false hope because they do know schools resume around October and pre-enrollment has to be completed on or before November for most schools, and only a few will allow you to resume beyond January. So imagine giving out dates for legalization in November. What's the essence of doing legalization quite early if admission is not really sure, especially for master's degree courses? Legalization can be done via an online platform to ensure the authenticity of the submitted documents because it is not really that hard. For example, the Italian consulate can mandate that applicants' schools should send the official transcripts via school email address and certificate to them alongside the copies authenticated by MOE and MOFA, and that way the authenticity of the documents can be established through comparison; hence, legalization is done quickly and precisely, which is what they actually do now because I have seen some of the couriers go into a university's exams and records department tendering documents to be verified, which is just a slow and thoughtless thing to do, and I guess they don't really rate Nigeria like that because countries like South Africa, Senegal, Namibia, and Lesotho are in the Hague Convention, and they won't go through this much wahala if anyone from there wants to go and study in Italy, and what caused this was a result of some nefarious Nigerians going to Italy with fake certificates around 1990-2000. It is quite annoying because I have gotten admissions into top universities in 2 consecutive years, and I missed out on the first one with legalization wahala, and now, I hope not, but it is quite frustrating. How can you fix an appointment date for someone in November when he is supposed to resume in October? All this BS won't be happening if only this country were working well. Can anybody recommend a school in Europe or any European country with moderate tuition fees and less cumbersome visa processing?

I just saw the checklist for consolagos on passport validity..which is stated that the passport must be valid at least 16months beyond entire stay.
My resumption date is in September 2026 and my program is 2yrs Msc but my passport expires in Oct 2029.

Am I supposed to renew now cos I learnt consolagos is very strict with their checklist.
I'm really confused.

*Try and read what the information is about the passport validity.
Internationally standard, you need 180days expiry date on your passport before you travel.
You can't renew a passport which has over 180days validity on it. If you get to Italy, you can process your passport renewal early 2029

I know is a bit tricky now.
To apply for 9ja passport and receive it before September, the chance is less than 50%.
* Having over 2yrs validity on your passport, it will be very difficult to get a new passport replacement except you register it as lost passport which will need sworn affidavit and police report etc.
Other option is registering it as Damaged.
I know i was refused flying to Italy once when my passport validity was around 160days and only going for 2weeks holiday.
I was told 180days passport validity is required.

My questions are

Is my Waec certificate very important in the admission process?

Do I have to prove my waec certificate is mine ?

And I was told to swear affidavit for my Bachelor certificate

I had to get mine in form of a sworn affidavit as we aren't really sure but it's better safe than sorry.

We were firstly given dates in November after which we started sending group emails and individual for reschedule, a handful number has gotten but some of us are still sending mails,some haven't gotten yet..
It's really a hustle
