Came back to recharge my airtel odu for the first time in 6 months(after incessant calls from customer care). Now my odu isn't receiving power and the router just shows red.
Does Sim swap still work cos I don't have power for odu and installer wahala like this

Yes sim swaps works but you have to use a router that supports the ODU plan with it

No it won't work on normal phone except routers that the previous 20MPS plan worked on before

I just realized I was using a wrong power bank to power the odu, thus there wasn't sufficient power. I have now used the follow come power bank and the odu has powered on.
My present issue is that there is no network on the device. How can I correct this
And please anyone with direct odu customer care line should send cos I'm using mtn

The IDU of the Zlt ODUs does two jobs, one of which is PoE. It's hard to get a device that can do that. If you have fried your IDU, you go need to buy PoE adapter and a router that can work as wired broadband.

That said, I think the ZTE device in that quoted message should be able to work as wired broadband.

Does that lives in ibadan you can visit any mtn shop closest/available to you. A friend just got his MTN ODU today 20/05/2026 from there for 30k . I think this will be good for new users who are just coming into the ODU shit. Compare to airtel 40k package/installation

Greetings. Please I am greatly considering the Airtel ODU. Can I hang it on a pole outside? Those long steel poles we used to hang gotv antenna (I have one lying unused in my compound). Would that give a better reception than just hanging outside ones corridor?
