But why did the police have to shoot at the man in the roof who bore no arms?

I know the society is charged, but extra-judicial killing isn't right either. You don't shoot at an unarmed person except the court of competent jurisdiction has passed a death sentence, isn't it?

However, looking closely, despite the close proximity, it doesn't look like the suspected kidnapper in the roof was hit by the gunshot. He should have crumpled to the floor from the roof and died if that happened. However, his descent, thought fast, showed some clumsy coordination, suggesting that he wasn't killed.

Yet, this poses another challenge: how can our security agencies shoot that closely and not hit the intended target?
knowing that kidnapping for Ransome, these days, now appear to be a business, I have no qualms with taking out any/all of the perpetrators knowing how slowly the wheels of justice grinds and the high possibility that these fellows would most likely return to the trade to cause more anguish and disruptions to the live of future captives and their families.

We're in such a time where we can not afford to let confirmed kidnappers see a new day to cause people more pains.

Good job to the npf....and some people are not happy about the rescue, they are on every social media platforms trying to downplay the work done by the npf saying it was arranged blablabla....same ppl wey believe Buhari was cloned😹
No be lie o, my Obidient neighbour has not eaten since the news broke. He said na arrangee, I asked him why he was jubilating when the news first broke, when he actually knew it was an arrangee kidnap, he’s yet to respond

Not all kidnap cases are actually done by Fulani bandits though they are in the majority in the business. This is one case, a local hit to make some good cash from Omo Adelabu whom they believed just returned from Abuja with wads of naira and dollars to afford a big ransom. Thanks to the NPF for this.

Haha, are you just realizing that most people reason illogically?
Lots of People prefer emotions over logic, especially when a topic aligns with their beliefs or biases ..Once emotions get involved, many stop caring about facts and start looking for information that confirms what they already want to believe....

And again, some of them seem disappointed that the victims were rescued. They would have preferred the victims to be harmed or killed because it would have given them more content to post and more reasons to talk about how the country is the worst place on earth.

It's almost as if bad news brings them more satisfaction than good news. they're upset because the outcome doesn't fit the narrative they were hoping to push.
Have you ever seen a police rescue mission captured on video before in this country?
Ask yourself.

😁😁😁😁

in a room filled with smoke, visibility could be impaired and anybody can miss a target even at close range. The fewer criminals we have in society, the better for us all. I'm sure you'll still criticise the system when these criminals are arrested and there's a jailbreak. Until you personally become a victim of kidnappers, you may never see things differently.

Thank God they are back... But why didn't they wait for Tinubu to deploy security apparatus from Abuja... I thought the governor or state doesn't have power to summon the police... If the police have spring into action like this within the early hours of Ogbomoso kidnap they could have rescued those people before allowing the terrorists settle down deep inside the forest.... Those people quoting my comment then should come out now

I think why the Police were swift in rescuing the Adelabu Sister and her twin sons is because the kidnappers live within the city/town unlike the other monsters that live in thick forests, and always moving their victims from one forest in one state to another. My thinking undecided

But then, our forests should not be allowed to be a hiding place for criminals, kidnappers and terrorists, Nigeria need to take over our forests by all means.

Well done NPF
My thoughts

No sensible Nigerian will ever believe the kidnapping case in the first place. It was staged. All we ask is rescue those innocent kids and teachers. Enough of all these nonsense

What if the man in the roof had a pistol with him? Don't you think he would have shot the policeman? The policeman did that in defense of everyone in the room and I'm sure he shot him to demobilize and not to kill him.
