~~~ Daily Spiritual Digest~~~ ________________________________ [07-06-2026] Focus: Seeing the Bigger Picture WORD FOR TODAY Those who fulfill God's purpose are people who see beyond present circumstances. When you understand God's bigger plan for your life, you will not sacrifice eternal rewards for temporary gratification! **************************************** Scriptural Reference "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." — Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One of the greatest keys to fulfilling destiny is the ability to see the bigger picture of God's plan. People who focus only on present pleasures, challenges, or discomforts often make decisions that rob them of God's best. However, those who see beyond the moment are empowered to remain faithful and obedient. Joseph refused to compromise with Potiphar's wife because he saw something greater than temporary pleasure. He understood that righteousness and faithfulness would ultimately lead him into God's purpose. His vision was bigger than his immediate circumstances. In contrast, Gehazi failed because he focused on immediate gain rather than God's greater plan for his life. He allowed temporary desire to blind him to the spiritual inheritance and future God had prepared for him. By pursuing short-term gratification, he lost something far more valuable. Ruth also demonstrated the power of seeing beyond present realities. Naomi appeared to be a hopeless widow with nothing to offer, yet Ruth chose loyalty and obedience. She saw beyond the pain of the moment and stepped into God's divine plan. Her decision eventually positioned her within the lineage through which the Messiah would come. Even the disciples once asked Jesus what they would gain by following Him. Rather than focusing on their present sacrifices, Jesus directed their attention to the greater rewards attached to faithful service. He helped them see the bigger picture. Our Lord Jesus Christ remains the ultimate example. The suffering of the cross was bearable because He looked beyond it to the joy, victory, and redemption that would follow. The vision before Him gave Him strength to endure the process. The same principle applies today. God's promises often require obedience, patience, and sacrifice. Do not allow temporary pressures, lack, disappointments, or worldly attractions to pull you away from God's plan. There is a greater purpose behind His dealings with your life. When you keep your eyes on God's promises, you gain the strength to remain faithful until His purpose is fulfilled. Questions for Meditation Am I making decisions based on present circumstances or God's greater purpose for my life? What temporary gratification is competing with God's promises in my life? How can I keep my focus on God's bigger picture during challenging seasons? Father, open my eyes to see the bigger picture of Your plan for my life. Help me not to trade eternal rewards for temporary pleasures or short-term gains. Give me the grace to remain faithful, obedient, and focused on Your promises even when circumstances seem difficult. Strengthen me to walk according to Your purpose until Your will is fully accomplished in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen. Main Emphasis: Those who see God's bigger picture can endure temporary challenges without compromising their destiny. May God grant you spiritual vision to see beyond your present circumstances, remain steadfast in obedience, and walk fully into the glorious purpose He has prepared for your life, in Jesus' name. Amen. |
geoworldedu:No one forced you to comment Oga. Common sense requires that when don't believe in something, you don't have to contribute to it by showing your incivility. For example, I know your comment is crap, that's why I'm commenting on your comment. |
Stephen0mozzy:You don't have to comment on my comment oga. You should learn to keep your mouth shut when you are not being referred to. You need sleep oga, go and sleep. ![]() |
If your pastor isn't interested on the current state of the country. I.e. he isn't talking about the insecurity, poverty, killings, kidnapping, bad economy, fraudulent president who's also a druggie but is talking about tithing, bigger picture, sacrifice, rapture, heaven and hell. All those religion jargon. Pick your bible and leave that church. You have a conman as a pastor. |
Even if you see the bigger picture from now till tomorrow it's whoever God have mercy upon that'll succeed! Jesus can't save anyone! Jesus said: My Father who has given them to me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. John 10:29. |
AntiChristian:At he time of Jesus religion and government are intertwined. An attack on the church ⛪️ is an attack on the government of the day. Jesus verbally attacked the church and also physically when they turned his father's house into the den of thieves. The government perceived that if Jesus is left unchecked that he will turn the people to rebel against them. |
| Re: Seeing The Bigger Picture by AntiChristian: 11:09am On Jun 07 |
Tenses:First century was after Jesus. Our discussion was before the first century! |
| Re: Seeing The Bigger Picture by Tenses: 11:12am On Jun 07 |
AntiChristian:You asked information on Paul. Anti-christian you are the only true 👍 Christian in Nigeria Can you now let me be..... |
| Re: Seeing The Bigger Picture by AntiChristian: 11:17am On Jun 07 |
Tenses:Paul came into the picture after Jesus. And the information must before the first century. You shot yourself in the leg by saying Jesus fought the government. He only fought the temple market sellers. Other Sadducees and Pharisees were just words of mouth. He never fought government nor talk about them like you Christians do today! |
| Re: Seeing The Bigger Picture by Tenses: 11:26am On Jun 07 |
AntiChristian:Fought is the simple past tense and past participle of the verb "fight". It means to engage in a physical, verbal, or conceptual struggle against an opponent, obstacle, or difficulty. For the last time leave me alone. You are too dull for my liking . |
