That may be a factor. But the main reason they were rescued is because the kidnappers are just urban, hungry criminals looking to score quick money. Look at the house where they kept the victims. Very very traceable in today's world.

No matter how they did it, I had told a friend that these people would be freed before spending 3 nights with their abductors.
