DrTee1:
But why did the police have to shoot at the man in the roof who bore no arms?

I know the society is charged, but extra-judicial killing isn't right either. You don't shoot at an unarmed person except the court of competent jurisdiction has passed a death sentence, isn't it?

However, looking closely, despite the close proximity, it doesn't look like the suspected kidnapper in the roof was hit by the gunshot. He should have crumpled to the floor from the roof and died if that happened. However, his descent, thought fast, showed some clumsy coordination, suggesting that he wasn't killed.

Yet, this poses another challenge: how can our security agencies shoot that closely and not hit the intended target?
You sha wan show say you sef fit talk.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

they were on their way to Davido's concert in the clip I shared.
The woman and her twins were "RESCUED" in this one.

In the other one that you posted, the soldiers were in the air, safe and far away from the terrorists, and taking selfies, who was rescued?

I think why the Police were swift in rescuing the Adelabu Sister and her twin sons is because the kidnappers live within the city/town unlike the other monsters that live in thick forests, and always moving their victims from one forest in one state to another. My thinking undecided

But then, our forests should not be allowed to be a hiding place for criminals, kidnappers and terrorists, Nigeria need to take over our forests by all means.

Well done NPF
..yes it's because it was within the city... and in a public area in a house..if it's was in a thick forest..they would had gave the police tough time to rescue the victims

Well done NPF
You're very accurate. These guys that kidnapped Adelabu's relatives are like Evans kind of kidnappers that operate within the city. The ones that took the children are Jihadist kidnappers.

That's because in the North the bandits run and hide in the forest/bush. In the south, especially a case like this particular kidnapping in Ibadan, it happened in the city. Ibadan is a city, with little to no forest to hide. Besides, the ones that operated in this particular incidence came in a Lexus. Thats to show you they are not the jihadist type of bandits...they are the regular kind of kidnappers like Evans.

The Police should stop praising with "Tactical Operations" 😲

Why haven't they used same method for the poor souls in the bush after three weeks ⁉️

Different treatment for the Rich and the Poor ‼️

that's why I said if you don't have sufficient knowledge over a subject it's better not to make comment... Do you know that one or two bars is sufficient to make a phone call? And this criminals don't stay in one location... They are constantly on the move
ok U that have sufficient knowledge, U think is easy moving around like U said with 10 captives, let alone 30-50 captives?
U thing there's a market in the forest where they buy food stuffs to feed all their captives?
one one or 2 of them can move around in search of network not far from the rest

Police dey work..but na to the highest bidder...that car the kidnappers used definitely eye witness saw the movement of the car. Nice 1 though. I wish they can use same energy for those baestard fxlani bandits.
It's harder to combat kidnappers that are deep in the forest, especially jihadist kind of bandits.

I think the NPF intentionally released the footage because of some people already saying the kidnap was staged.
Some are saying this whole thing was staged, even after watching this video. They are the same type of people that believe Bubari was cloned.

All what you are saying is English. When did Police stop going to Forest or bushes to arrest Criminals?

This is a great and definitely would restore some little trust in our Police all over again. I know that out Police can work if actually set out to work. But there's something am trying to deduce here, those kidnappers, atleast the one I saw in the video doesn't look like a Fulani man to me......looks more like a Yoruba or Igbo man......Southern people in short cos I know Southern people look similar atimes.....

Good job anyway, but the major one should be done by rescuing the 48 people in the bush since over a month now and also the Ekiti, Kwara and Bornu abductees......Nigeria shall be Great again in our lifetime........
Fighting kidnappers in the forest is harder than fighting the ones in the city.

And yes, the kidnappers in thus case are southerners I knew they couldn't be Fulani when I saw the getaway car they drove away in after kidnapping the woman and her kids. They were driving a Lexus. These kind of kidnappers can be compared Evans.

Apt. We ignore the mental health aspects way too much. These guys just got a strong dose of PTSD. There was a time a single robber tried to break into a house I was staying, cause they felt no one was home - I was the only one around in the whole compound and was asleep.

He didn't succeed cause I shouted and he ran away but do you know for the next 2 weeks, once I'm asleep and hear any sound I'd jolt from sleep with fear, loud noises even when awake immediately made me concerned and I'd start looking around with my heart racing faster than a horse.

Now that's minor compared, so imagine how these guys are messed up in their head right now with no mental health evaluation to help them bounce back.
I can imagine what you went through.

My mom suffered so much for years, after a robbery attack.

This is why criminals need to face justice.

Thank God for the safe rescue operation.

But Nigerian Police and language ehn. Doesn’t fatally wounded mean dead. I was hoping to see the bodies of the 2 terrorists with severe bullet wounds.

We can’t continue to go soft on these evil people. Kpai them on the scene. No need keeping them alive.

Have you thought the other way round? When analysing something, don't be rigid in your thoughts. Always think out of the box.

The officer didn't intend to shoot at him. He shot that bullet as a warning to make him come down from the roof.

Thinking out of the box is truly not an easy skill, I must say.

The Inspector-General of Police commended the professionalism, courage and resilience displayed by the FID-IRT operatives and other officers involved in the operation, noting that their efforts were instrumental in ensuring the safe rescue of the hostages
Sometimes one wonders how kidnappers keep their victims on Nigeria's soil, yet police could not detect where they are hiding.

Maybe they didn't miss, could be a warning shot

Maybe they shot because he could still be a threat. He was hiding in a vantage point and for all they know he was armed and dangerous

Maybe we shouldn't be mad when kidnappers, bandits and robbers are wasted.
