Israeli strikes hit the Karun petrochemical complex near Mahshahr
Israeli missiles struck a petrochemical plant in southwestern Iran on Monday morning, according to both Iranian and Israeli authorities.

An official from Iran's Khuzestan ​province said the Karun petrochemical ‌plant ⁠near the ​city of Mahshahr had been hit and partially damaged, according to the Fars state news agency.

The Israeli military said it struck "several targets" at the complex.

The Israeli military said on Monday morning that it had intercepted a second barrage of Iranian missiles fired towards its territory and issued an all-clear.

"Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat," the military had said after urging the public to take shelter.

Rocket alerts were issued in parts of central and southern Israel, among other areas.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties resulting from the latest Iranian attack.

We need to see the damage that Iran strike caused in Israel. Because all this 100 percent interception propaganda doesn't hold water again.

What even goes on in the heads of Iran’s rulers? They launch barrages of missiles at Israel, Israel intercepted, without hitting any meaningful targets. Did they seriously think they could attack Israel and not get hit back? Or were they banking on Trump and the U.S. to stop Bibi from retaliating?

Then Israel strikes back and hits multiple targets and facilities deep inside Iran with ease. The difference is obvious. If Israel started firing missiles blindly into Iran the way Iran does toward Israel, the destruction could be huge. Iranian cities and infrastructure could be devastated. Yet Israel shows restraint and targets military and strategic sites instead of just unleashing everything it has.

Iran will throw the first punch, Israel hits back harder, and ordinary Iranians end up paying the price for the regime’s decisions.
