I feel Malaysia Post wants to stop shipping to Nigeria.
Do you know that it's the shipping company that bears the brunt for missing items, through the shipping insurance which they to pay the sender in the case of lost, damaged, or missing items.
I knew sooner or later this will be the case.
A total blacklist of Nigeria.

What's on the tracking is not abnormal!

Your item arrived Regional carrier facility on the 26, which was Tuesday. Then a 2-day holiday followed. This is what you need to consider because those in charge of your parcel may decide not to move it until next week when activies resume fully.

26? And today is 6th with 2 days hols in-between! It's normal in this current situation o. Sometimes, e de reach 3 weeks from nahco to Ikeja PO sef.

Their clearing process in 9ja is the issue. They should partner with GIG or SpeedafExpress for clearing and last mile processing. NIPOST is a no - no for logistics that's serious.

Anything not to be 90% certain to be handled by SpeedafExpress is a NO for me since AliExpress will still dispatch till it gets to airport and will be there for minimum of 2/3 weeks before you can request for a refund. That's about 4/5 weeks gambling with ones fund!

I have been reading through the post. It has been a while I ordered on AliExpress. I saw someone mention that choice items get speedaf shipping. What are the choice items? I plan on ordering a phone and a battery. What's the average waiting time if these are choice items, thank you.

I think this might be the case because I ordered an item which is supposed to be shipped by POS Malaysia on the 4th of April, the seller on his own part shipped the item, but POS Malaysia which is supposed to be the logistics carrier didn't pick up the item and it's been awaiting flight since April. I reached out to customer service and they told me that even as at today, the package hasn't left China, so I had to request for refund because there was no point waiting because it's obvious that it won't leave for Nigeria.

Mine is even with them and they've confirmed it's at their Exchange office in Lagos. But for some reason I'm yet to receive it and subsequent mails doesn't get answers from them.

Trying to figure out where their exchange office is so I may just consider going there.

Gone are those days when you receive nipost package from AliExpress within 14days, sweetest days of AliExpress. Now i can never buy gadget like Mobile phones from AliExpress anymore,most global version phones are shipped from Hong Kong and not china mainland. Any package from China mainland will be handled by speedaf.

Honestly, I don't mind paying a huge amount to get my packages from Nipost delivered to me.

I had the intention of setting up a gadget business, so I ordered about 40 phones/tablets since October/November/December and up till now, I haven't received any of them.

At this point I think starting up a post on twitter detailing NIPOST's malfeasance and having everyone comment on it with their experience may be the way to go. I did a quick search on twitter and it's amazing how many people have experiencing the same thing.

With everyone commenting and tagging the director of NIPOST it may just go viral and garner the needed attention.

Sorry to say, you really gambled with the whole thing!

For gadgets of such quantity, why didn't you employ the service of a third-party shipper to help you deliver the parcel in Nigeria?

Avoid such a mistake next time.

Anyone buying from AliExpress with Nipost as local courier is just wasting his/her time.

Here is a personal advice.
If you urgently need the item and it's only AliExpress that have it.
Get any relative or trusted contact you have in any neighboring country(Ghana, Togo, or Benin). Use their address and order,(delivery is usually 2-3 weeks)Once the item arrives ship it down to Nigeria via GIG.

Will cost extra, but you're guaranteed to get your item

The effect of NIPOST's incompetence being witnessed in real time. 95% of. the authorized stores that sell Xiaomi/Redmi products no longer ships to Nigeria. Not like I can even blame the stores, but this I just sad. I literally bought items from 3 of them months ago and I could order from at least 6 of them now non ships to Nigeria. Pretty sure this doesn't just apply to phone stores, won't be surprised if vendors that sell items like Headphones, speakers etc have also restricted Nigeria.
