Two things here real quick

The real issue here is INEC's lack of oversight of political parties. Party finance is supposed to be under scrutiny such that political parties do not become money making our laundering ventures. This is supposed to be one of the core responsibilities of INEC. But this particular responsibility is dodged because the biggest beneficiary of the lack of oversight in finance matters for political parties is usually the ruling party. This simply shows that INEC's pretension to independence is simply a ruse

Secondly and most importantly, the NASS is showing itself to be a useless organisation as well. Campaign finance are supposed to be well regulated by legislation that will serve as a moral and ethical guide for political parties. But again, because NASS is actually made up of self-serving political conmen posing as legislators, they can't be bothered about such a critical thing that will ensure sanity in our political processes since they don't stand to benefit anything from paying attention to such matters. I'm fact, they might end up be on the wrong side of it

So the issues are not about Obi or NDC. It's about the larger rot and mismanagement that bedevils or political parties and system such that we end up churning up leaders who are specialists in failure and malfeasance and who in turn end up corrupting or governance system. It's a vicious cycle
