U.S. will hit Iran "hard" again after "playing us for suckers," Trump says

President Trump said Wednesday that Iran has "taken too long to negotiate a deal" and will "pay the price." He told reporters at the White House he would hit Iran "hard" as the ceasefire between the countries appeared to crumble with an exchange of fire sparked by the downing of a U.S. Army helicopter.

Iran said it retaliated earlier Wednesday for U.S. strikes by launching new attacks targeting U.S. military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. There were no immediate reports of impacts, only weapons interceptions.

U.S. forces launched strikes on targets in Iran after an Apache helicopter was brought down by an Iranian drone near the Strait of Hormuz on Monday evening, according to President Trump. The two-member crew was rescued in the first U.S. military rescue operation using a sea drone.

Trump is just saving face.

Trump has used the word "hard" many times and he has thrown almost everything in his arsenal at it.

I used to support Israel before but I sat down and analysed it - Israel has nuclear weapon but she doesnt want any other country in the middle east to possess it. Instead of asking Iran not to have nuclear weapon, why cant the world ask Israel to destroy their nuclear weapon to create a level playing ground. That' s fairness to me.

Trump wants Iran to bow. They wont. They cant. The earlier he realises it the better. Iran is not Venezuela. Iranians are very nationalistic. Their economy is suffering but US too is suffering. US inflation is over 4% as of today - the stocks have been dragged into it. Iran might not be trusted by the Shiites muslims surrounding it but the presence of the US military has not helped, rather it has thrown fuel into the fire. The war has depleted US military arsenals, and billions in dollars that could improve their economy has stupidly gone down the drain.

Middle East will burn but US will not go unscathed.
