Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is deploying over 4.4 million polling unit officials nationwide as part of its grassroots strategy to secure President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday after a closed-door meeting with the President at the State House, Abuja, Uzodimma, who also chairs the APC National Campaign Committee, said the party is leaving nothing to chance.

"We are deploying 4.4 million officials across all polling units in Nigeria. These are trained party loyalists who will engage voters at the grassroots. This is not about rigging; it is about mobilization and ensuring our message reaches every Nigerian," Uzodimma stated.

He added that the party is confident of victory based on what he called "Tinubu's performance and connection with the masses."

The opposition has dismissed the claim as mere grandstanding, with the NDC and PDP accusing the APC of planning to weaponize grassroots structures for electoral manipulation.

The APC National Secretariat has yet to release an official breakdown of the deployment figures.

If the APC were to deploy 4.4 million agents across Nigeria’s 176,846 polling units, that would average about 25 agents per polling unit.

Assuming the budget for each agent before looting is ₦200,000, the total cost would come to approximately ₦880 billion.

To put that in perspective, Nigeria’s 2026 defence budget is about ₦3.136 trillion. By that calculation, nearly one third of the military’s annual budget would be spent on party agents alone.

And that excludes bribes for grassroots mobilizers , judges , governors , INEC , etc

At some point, describing this administration as merely “incompetent” or “clueless” no longer captures the scale of the frustration many Nigerians feel. The closest comparison is to refer to Tinubu himself as the “DEVIL”

So all the City Boy Movement, City Girls Movement, "Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria", Renewed Hope Ambassadors, and countless other groups are not enough, now we need a 4.4-million-strong group too?

Thousands upon thousands of groups just to sell Tinubu. A bad product is a bad product; no amount of rebranding can change that. Dead on arrival remains dead on arrival.

This same Bola Ahmed Tinubu told us he'll give us 24 hrs electricity. And if he didn't we shouldn't vote him for second term.
He is currently on solar energy, and also doing everything to come back for 2nd term. Why believe such a character ?
