Your reasoning amazes me. If the so called 50% tax was the only reason why cement and basic commodities are so expensive, why then do these companies declare abnormal profit after tax yearly? The keyword here is “abnormal profit” because they are an oligopoly mostly.

These firms charge Nigerians what they won’t dare charge any where else. Otherwise, how do you explain profits of over 200% on a bag of cement?

It is simply collusion with the corrupt government. They are not innocent.
