HacheNoire:Give it up for an oppressive regime that suppresses people! China's problems will only get worse because YOUNG people want to leave if they can. The exact opposite of US. Young Chinese know there is freedom out there and who doesn't want a good thing. China will eventually be a population of mostly old folks who need to be taken care of and not at all enough young folks to take care of them! |

Easylife1234:Pure propaganda. Quite the opposite. China is on a downward trajectory but it is downplayed. Example, you'd think China has no debt, but see below

CanadaOrBust:Stop consuming the propaganda of westerners media. Get on TikTok or Rednote and see live videos of Americans and British living in China. It is a strict environment that does not give room for indiscipline. Yes, you cannot antagonize the government but at the expense of what the same government is delivering. Thats why you see it’s more organized than any country in the west. They have their odds as no country is perfect, but far ahead any western country. Only the Middle East comes close when it comes to structured and sane society. |

HacheNoire:That young Chinese want to leave is Western propaganda?? They even have their own "japa" word for it - "run", as shown below. Same way US is struggling to keep people out, Chinese use all means to try to keep young people in. ponziponzi: frankson1:All those countries you mentioned young people are NOT itching to leave and some have robust immigration. You don't have to be a genius to see that China is on an irreversible downward trajectory. More people are dying than are being born. Add to that, YOUNG people want to leave soon as they can (especially to US, while on the other side young people are struggling to enter US). What will be left is old folks. Add to that the looming debt time bomb!

CanadaOrBust:Do more research! The best of Chinese don’t leave their country to the west. The competition is high and only those who cannot fit in leave. What do you think is the West that will entice a Chinese? It’s like you saying Qataris are dying to come to the West? They don’t see the west like we Nigerians do. They have affordable education, healthcare, taxes and security, with a lot to show for it. Can you say same about the US? No! |

ponziponzi:It's simply not worth the energy engaging with these people. They have no interest in thinking beyond surface-level narratives.Critical thinking remains frustratingly rare among my country people, particularly when it comes to geopolitics, its real-world implications, and Nigeria's position within the global order. The irony is striking. Many of these same people are holding Chinese smartphones they could actually afford, phones that would have otherwise taken them years of savings to replace with a 4 year old American equivalent. They're driving or at least aspiring to own Chinese electric vehicles that exist at a price point no Western manufacturer can offer. Everyday products that have quietly become staples of Nigerian life - affordable and accessible, overwhelmingly come from China. But somehow, these same Nigerian consumers will cheerfully root for China's decline. No ideology behind it, no analysis. Just herd mentality and borrowed sentiment from people whose interests are actively opposed to theirs. Brain ceIIs in very short supply for these people I tell you. |

HacheNoire:Did you read the screenshots I posted above? You are so wrong. Maybe that is part of why they're considered a developing nation. They have "japa" too (especially to US - the country with the highest number of Chinese outside Asia). They call it "run". The young people, their 1st choice of where to "run" to is US

Easylife1234:China has no hegemonic ambition - they have no interest in ruling the world. They're only interested in trade and world peace. |
| Re: How China Will Crumble As World Power - The US Sun by CanadaOrBust(op): 3:45am On Jun 11*. Modified: 7:18pm On Jun 11 |
Easylife1234: CaseSensitive:Whether they're interested or not, China is NOT about to rule the world. China is in an irreversible downward trajectory that will culminate in them no.longer being a world power. US will "rule" the world for a long time simply because of the way the country is structured. Young people and some of the best people in the world want to go to America and become Americans and they CAN. You can't go to China and become Chinese. And US political system is such that they constantly correct course. Midterm elections they may throw out Republicans. In a short while Trump will be out of office and they could go for his exact opposite. How can countries like China or Russia compete with that?? CaseSensitive:So because China dumps cheap, slave-labour stuff in Nigeria you will not say the truth? Do you know how many enterprises have had to close because what they make can be imported cheaper from China? Is life better now that everything is made in China and breaks very easiy? |
| Re: How China Will Crumble As World Power - The US Sun by Sheuns(m): 8:34am On Jun 11 |
ponziponzi:They have to be worried. In war, you don’t ever underestimate your enemy. You must take every possible step to ensure your enemy never gets the advantage over you. You don’t expect US to just sit back and relax and say “We’re world power, no one can topple us”. US has presence in all continents of the world, both militarily and economically, that’s not something China or any other country can boldly brag of. That’s how you keep your powers. Expand and conquer more. That’s what China is also doing now, by entering many markets around the world. That’s how influence is built. |
| Re: How China Will Crumble As World Power - The US Sun by Sheuns(m): 8:36am On Jun 11 |
CanadaOrBust:Now this is someone that really sees how the US grows. Kudos. The simple fact that people of any race and color want to become US citizens and they are allowed will ensure US stays at top for a long time. |

HacheNoire:Yeah innovating and upgrading what they copy is actually good but they learn from Europe and america, Japan and no way they could have superior quality than those who own or invented it, their products attest to this. |
| Re: How China Will Crumble As World Power - The US Sun by HacheNoire: 12:32pm On Jun 11 |
MrGerald:But the consumers say a different thing cos they know the bulk of the manufacturing comes from China. Take BYD and Tesla for example. The consumers say a different thing from what you narrated. |

HacheNoire:Their argument most times are dividend along maintenance and sophistication. |
| Re: How China Will Crumble As World Power - The US Sun by ponziponzi(m): 3:09pm On Jun 11 |
Sheuns:It's understandable they're worried. China is rising fast, and the US can't stop it at this point. That said, China won't become the sole hegemon like the US, a multipolar world is emerging, and it will take time for the US to accept that after decades as the world's only superpower. The most dangerous period is between now and that acceptance, but the shift seems irreversible. Global military presence is a double-edged sword. It allows power projection but at enormous cost; paying, feeding, and maintaining hundreds of thousands of troops and equipment, including 11 aircraft carriers with rotating crews, often without combat. That's why the US defence budget keeps growing (Trump's proposed $1.5T exceeds the next 10 countries combined), much of it just for operations and maintenance. It's unsustainable. It's a natural process for great powers as seen in Rome, the Dutch Republic, the Ottoman Empire, and Great Britain. China's economic influence will naturally grow as it expands trading partners (it's already the top partner for most of the world). You can see some resemblance of it happening a week ago when China-backed Kyrgyzstan won a secret UN Security Council vote against US-backed Philippines |

CanadaOrBust:The fact that you want it to happen doesn't mean it will. Having a preconceived mindset based on what you want to believe, and then looking for sources that support it, is the height of intellectual laziness and idiocy. It certainly doesn't deserve an intelligent discourse or my time. |
| Re: How China Will Crumble As World Power - The US Sun by CanadaOrBust(op): 8:30pm On Jun 11 |
ponziponzi: HacheNoire: CaseSensitive:Instead of being emotional, can you guys simply counter the points I raised one by one (as shown in the screenshots) and patiently tell us how China will overcome them and surpass US. 1. Far more people are dying in China than are being born. 2. The "run" (japa) movement - young people want to leave China and their first destination of choice is US. 3. China will inevitably be left with lots of old people and not enough young people (as is attested to by travelers to China - you see old people working everywhere) 4. Lots of young people, and best and brightest everywhere, want to move to US. 5. China has an impending debt time bomb.
