For years, they have searched for any trace of fraud, corruption, or misappropriation of public funds linked to His Excellency Peter Obi, yet they have not been able to find even the slightest evidence.

They have launched countless smear campaigns in a desperate attempt to drag Peter Obi into the same dirty waters in which they swim and sleep. Every one of those attempts has failed.

Now, Kenneth Okonkwo, who appears deeply pained that Obi refused to play the politics of bribery, thuggery, and political patronage like most other politicians, has found his way into the camp of those willing to acquire power at any cost.

Yet, even from his new camp, Kenneth continues to demonstrate an apparent obsession with Peter Obi’s rare and untainted reputation. His repeated attacks seem less like political criticism and more like frustration at a standard of public service that remains beyond reproach.

Today, they are attempting to hold Peter Obi responsible for the internal leadership affairs of a political party he joined only recently.

Let it be clearly understood that millions of Nigerians are not following Peter Obi because of any political party. They are following him because of the values, discipline, prudence, and integrity he represents.

Peter Obi is an individual. He is a presidential candidate, just as there are other candidates within the same political party. To continuously attribute every alleged failure or inadequacy of party leadership to him is intellectually dishonest and politically disingenuous.

The desperation with which some people seek to tie Peter Obi’s name to matters beyond his control reveals something deeper than political disagreement. It reveals a fear of his popularity and credibility that has gradually transformed into resentment.

I only wish our laws permitted credible individuals to contest elections independently, without the need for political parties. If that were possible, many Nigerians would gladly support Peter Obi based on his record, character, and competence alone.

To see the hypocrisy and envy, look at the caliber of men they are praising as they are attacking PO.

The hate against this one man is just too much, even though he occupies no political office.

The Obidients do not base thier political philosophy on abuse. The APC-Buhari-BATist gang invented and introduced that virus into the Nigerian polity in thier desperation to remove Goodluck Jonathan from office.

Every foul tactic was deployed including, including importing ISWAP terrorists to wreck bombingsband kidnappings in the country - clearly, a subversive and treasonous crime against the nation. But they didn't care. It was so bad that Prof Wole Soyinka signed on to the abuse mania, insulting the wife of a sitting president by calling her "sheepopotamus" in obvious reference to her body shape.

The Obidients simply copied the Tinubu playbook to a lesser degree. So stop complaining.
