justasitis:wait does it not consume much when used with prepaid meter, I mean the infrared induction cooker unlike the normal electric cooker that chop light |

Bryanluke:The infrared cooker doesn’t consume high electricity like the regular hot plates and you can regulate the power/wattage. You can cook beans and other foods with 1200w setting on it which will be around 1000w on the inverter or pre-paid meter. One can even cook and warm foods with 800w/600w setting. Mine comes with a grilling steel for barbecue and other roasting.

Bryanluke:Really don't know what they called InfraRed cooker BUT the one I have been using since 2018 is Induction cooker and is very very energy friendly unlike the hotPlate we were using before. Doesn't matter if prepiad, postpaid, Solar, etc |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by smallsmall: 2:22am On Jun 11 |
bassdow:In the current context this 'I pray' was used in that sentence, it means 'i Hope'. 'Hope' is not a Prayer, it is an 'expectation'. Nothing wrong with Prayer though, it works for those who exercise absolute faith in it, as long as you couple it with Works/Effort. For those who don't believe in it, it can't work for them. Each man to his own belief. |

oloet:Alright then, try add more panels because 100v PV input is just low for a 500v Vmax system. You are using it to charge the battery and also power your loads at the same time, it will eventually shorten your inverter lifespan. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Bryanluke: 7:49am On Jun 11 |
justasitis:bases on my knowledge i taught the normal electric cooker is 1500w but with this 1200w on prepaid meter with BAND A 4.4unit.. hope it won't consume less than 1 unit if I want to cook beans with it |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Bryanluke: 7:51am On Jun 11 |
bassdow:so are you saying now that if it use less than 1unit prepaid metr and also that I can use it with a 2000w sachet inverter |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 9:49am On Jun 11 |
It should. I used my microwave with my 1.5kva. Microwave uses 1000w. But the voltage sag plenty in the inverter cos I dey use 16mm between battery and inverter. I go change am to like 50mm Bryanluke: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Gshems: 9:50am On Jun 11 |
If you are cooking at 1200w, you will only use 1.2unit in 1 hr Bryanluke: |

bassdow:The fear of fake or damaged solar panels is the beginning of wisdom. With FOUANI, you're paying for the panels, logistics, insurance, and most importantly, peace of mind. I was about to buy from a vendor close to me, then a few days later he posted a video saying he had to pay for more than 15 damaged 600W panels that got broken during transit. I jejely opened the FOUANI app and made my payment. God no go shame us. I no fit argue. |

Pls I need expert advise on the type of solar panels i can use for this inverter with the spec below. It's an SRNE HF-2430S80-H but my concern is that the Max PV input Current is 13A and I intend to get at least 4qty of 615W Jinko panels (to be in series) but the Max. input current for those panels exceed that of the inverter rating. I want to know and get an expert advice if this will be an issue for the inverter or if I need to go lower to say 590W panels which has about 13.36A input current. I need advice from people here who may have the knowledge on this. And to know also if the max current for the solar panel rated is ever attained in real life. I want to be sure it's safe to use these panels with these ratings with my SRNE inverter with these specs. I'll appreciate response from OGs here. Thanks

aloyt:Just try to keep the total current from PV as low as possible BUT even if it exceeds 13A slightly, no issue as the inverter would handle that. It's the Voc that's more dangerous. At end of the day, the inverter only takes the amount of current it needs But if the gap between Current from solar panels and the 13A is high enough, performance would suffer as the inverter could suspend charging till current reduces (when the sun goes down enough). Additionally, that could end up stressing the system which could reduce it's life span. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Valentinooo: 1:36pm On Jun 11 |
aloyt:Current is drawn based on what your inverter needs at a particular point in time. Even though your panel is able to supply a maximum current of 15amp, your inverter will only be able to draw a maximum of 13amp from it. Na voc you suppose dey afraid of make you no exceed am Don't forget, your panels will only be able to supply that maximum current when all favorable conditions are met. |

lovediehatelive:This is the blue INEC battery, I was about getting this battery back then from the guy in Kano. Some of the cells would have been dead already because the battery don tey o. How long have you been using it before traveling? Just dismantle the cells and take out the good ones and recouple if you have the technicality |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by aloyt(m): 3:23pm On Jun 11 |
bassdow:thanks so much for this insight, it's really appreciated. Voc will not be an issue as the max for inverter is 500V meaning I have a threshold of about 8 Solar Panels (only 4 is in the plan for now) |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by justasitis: 4:44pm On Jun 11 |
Bryanluke:If you set the infrared cooker at 1500w which will be 1.2kw on the inverter/meter, you can cook 4 or 5 cups of beans within 45minutes and it will be very soft. So your energy consumption won’t be upto 1unit for the 45 minutes cooking. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by justasitis: 4:55pm On Jun 11 |
aloyt:I will advise you go for the 570W and increase it to 5 instead of 4 since it will cost less than the 615w. It’s important to keep to the inverter manufacturer’s specifications so as to avoid shooting yourself in the foot. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Bryanluke: 10:20pm On Jun 11 |
justasitis:it's cool.. with 1unit @ 45minute.. It's still equivalent to a normal hot plate .. it's just a lil difference but this is cool as one can use it with inverter/solar system |
