These people have started disgracing Africa again instead of calmly allowing Nigeria through to represent us properly. Ghana, SA, Tunisia are always a waste of an African slot at the World Cup
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by PDPGuy: 9:40pm On Jun 11
The mission for SA now is damage-limitation. If they can prevent Mexico from scoring more goals, they’d give themselves a shot at finishing, at least, 3rd in the group, which may be enough to see them through to the round of 32

Popi will ignore the 99 times 4-3-3 defeated 4-4-2 but immediately the reverse happens just once he starts reminding us how superior 4-4-2 is and it's always funny to see.
That guy is something else.

CR7 carry Messi Comparison for head sotay e don dey turn embarrassment.

Shame don dey catch me lowkey say I support am during his prime.
I like it that way, I want him embarrassed for daring to raise deluded fans who don’t love football but admire his physical body and sui against Messi.

Crazy seeing a Black man playing for Mexico
Cos they don't really have blacks

The few blacks they had during slavery have blended and intermarried almost erasing physical appearance of being black

The ninja that scored is a naturalised Colombian

The whole of Portugal, and the only striker people can point to as Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement is Gonçalo Ramos.

Think about that for a second.

For years, Portugal have produced world-class talent in every area of the pitch. Elite midfielders. Elite defenders. Elite wingers. Yet the No. 9 position has remained a problem. Even Ronaldo himself wasn’t born a striker. He was shaped from a midfielder into a winger, and then into a goalscoring machine.

So when people like Rio Ferdinand say he should come off the bench, the question is simple: for who exactly?

Where is the world-class striker waiting to take his place?

There is no ruthless, undeniable No. 9 banging down the door. No generational striker forcing the issue. Just endless debate, opinions, and empty expectations.

The reality is that, at 41, Ronaldo is still the most feared goalscorer in the squad and still the player his teammates look for when they need a goal.

The truth is simple: Portugal’s biggest problem isn’t Ronaldo starting. It’s that after all these years, they still haven’t produced a striker good enough to make anyone forget him.

Not one.
Forget this talk, Ronaldo should retire so that Ramos can be starting he will be more useful for the Portuguese midfielders than Ronaldo. Giroud didn’t score when France won World Cup 2018 but his link up play helped. Ramos will link up better with the rest attackers than Ronaldo.

Korea very clearly the better side. Deservedly taken the lead

Korea look to be in trouble from set pieces every time. That is Czech republic's best chance at levelling or winning the game

Korea clearly was the better side but it could have ended 2-2. They scored a second from another set piece but Soucek was ruled offside.

Even though they were inferior on the whole, Czechia came with set piece tactics heavily influenced by the premier league, and this almost evened things. If they had good deliveries into the box they could’ve won.

I feel like other teams will place more emphasis on set pieces than they would normally do in this World Cup. It’s going to be an interesting tournament.
