Never knew it wqs in d electoral law cos i have Been wondering why obi couldn't stand as an independent candidate n he made a grave mistake in not setting up his own party immediately after he left Labour party

They rejected individuals contesting on their own as independent candidate without a political party....it was rejected mostly because of Peter Obi.


Obi and allies tried registering a party....they used INEC to frustrate the effort and various attempts.....you guys don't seem to understand the level of brutal dictator Nigeria is under right now....make those supporting the failure continue....their eyes will open by the time he bulldozes his way to Aso Rock for a second tenure.....I pity Northerners the most....they think they will revenge after 2031 which they are ignorantly believing will be their turn to revenge on Southwest for what Tinubu is doing today....they will wait forever because if Tinubu succeeds in rigging his way for a second tenure, the next President after him will be as useless as the "p" in psychology, please bookmark this comment today.

Ah,,, the impact is that I should be able to tell Nigerians the way we are telling them about the 2015 disaster that "we warned you " A vote for a Fulani is a vote for genocide. Simple.

From what you explained here, if Atiku gets the majority votes and does not get 25% in 24 states and Tinubu gets 25% in 24 states but the 2nd highest number of the total votes - we are heading for a 2nd round of voting and maybe a 3rd round sef.
Go and verify.
This is where ADC has set a trap for Obidients cuz they would have to choose between Atiku and Tinubu.
But if it's NDC in the 2nd round vs APC, we ADC will vote for Tinubu because Obidients don't have the temperament of people who want to rule Nigeria.

From what I forsee, Atiku will get majority votes but fail to win 25% in the required number of states.

Obi will clear the SE as usual but come 3rd.

Bat will come second in terms of majority votes but get the required 25% in 2/3 states making him the eventual winner.

That's Obi's business whether he steps up or down. What I'm saying is that not Nigerian should be stewpid enough to vote a Fulani. Tinubu doesn't need Obi stepping down anyway. he can 'win' the way he did in 2023 and complete south (Yoruba) presidency the way you all shouted in 2014 that it was the turn of the north. In any case no one cares

Why would Obi/ Igbo people want just one term to complete south presidency, which would be 17 years against the north’s 11 years out of our 28 years of continuous democracy next year?

Tinubu is the one who led the shouting in 2014 for the old Fulani soldier he begged to come out of retirement and make Jonathan a one term president.

The 109 senators and 360 representatives who rejected independent candidates include the ones who you sent to Abuja, right?
