Now I've also seen videos of protests across other states in Nigeria and no police was shooting at them...

My honest question now is.... What led to the police shooting those tear gas?

Could it be that the protesters were trying to push beyond that police truck that was used to forge a barrier?? Because the truck is seen clearly on the road as a barrier in the picture or video

At the end of the day,it led to many years of civil war .

Just listen to yourself, Gani fought for the enthronement of Democracy. Democracy is predicate on the rule of law. Demanding a sitting president to go is not democratic. The law already made provisiond on how a president can leave office and anything contrary to that is illegitimate. To even worsen the situation, Sowore is an interest in the coming presidential election and his conduct can be viewed correctly as a treasonable felony.

Trying to save Nigerians from Nigeria and from themselves is an impossible task.
The people genuinely love their Pharaoh's who put yoke upon their necks and horse whips to their bare backs.
They can only complain and murmur in their various homes and street corners, or rant online...still.
Something about what that south African woman spear heading the march and march movement said that struck me.

He doesn't know he is now old. He should give instructions, and maybe walk small with the protesters to show solidarity...but when it comes to police shooting tear gas and chasing protesters, I don't think his body is equipped for all that activity anymore. He is in his 50s, protesting with energetic people in their 20s and 30s.
