Is the Unbeliever Not Being Judged Twice - First in Burning Hell and Then Second at the Lake of Fire? No. It’s not two judgments. The unbeliever is condemned already, held in a place of torment now, and then brought up for one final judgment at the Great White Throne and cast into the lake of fire—the second death. The Bible says, “He that believeth not is condemned already” (John 3:18). After death there is a holding place of torment—“in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments” (Luke 16:23–24)—and Scripture speaks of “spirits in prison” (1 Peter 3:19). But the formal judgment is future: “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). Scriptures says whoever sinneth must die. Adam and Eve sinned from the beginning and they died. It was not fire burning them. The judgement is death, The judgement is not hell fire burning people. Infact, the word hell means grave. Which implies death. Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (Figuratively spoken) The lake of fire or what people call hell fire is nothing but death. Don't misinterpret it to some kind of fire burning people. |

Marksah5:You are putting it wrongly. "Is condemned already" is just a mere pronouncement of a person stating the obvious fact that every reasonable person aware of. Which is that after looking at all of man's ways and the thongs we have done which we even still do, even us too know that we are guilty and must be condemned. And so, this statement is just a declaration and a prediction that since God iis fait and just, then He must judge us guilty Which God will do when He convenes His Court on Judgement Day. So, hel is just prison custody and not the main prison itself. The main prison is called lake of fire |

paxonel:Thank God you confess that second death is still death. And from Revelations we can see that both those who died like Adam still resurrected to be judged whether they shall die the death in "second death". And throughout the Bible we all see that everything cast in fire, burns. So lake of fire is definitely a place that burns people |

Dtruthspeaker:Exactly! And throughout the Bible we all see that everything cast in fire, burns. So lake of fire is definitely a place that burns peopleYour analogy here does not follow. It does not follow because, everything cast in fire burns, we can observe this physically by burning any object, unlike the lake of fire mentioned in revelation which is a spiritual death or the second death. What that means in the real sense is, those who were cast into the lake of fire after the judgement will never resurrect back to life. That is, they are dead for good. But those whose names were found in the book of life will resurrect after the judgement. Resurrection is the ultimate purpose of Christianity. Adam and Eve sinned there was death. Therefore there was need to restore life back, by way of resurrection. If you understand it from this point of view there is no picture of fire burning people |

I paxonel:You have mixed it up. First, the Bible shows that those cast in flames are tormented and physically it is our experience that when we suffer a burn we are tormented day and night. Therefore, it follows. Secondly, Revelation 20:12 upwards shows that the prison and sentencing to the ake of fire only commences after everyone both dead like Adam have been judged and convicted. Thus, the resurrection takes place before judgment and it is after judgement that the death God has in store will commence. And therefore, it is the resurrection unto life, that Christians are playing for as Daniel 12:2/john 5:29 shows. And what is resurrection unto life!? It means those who are judged and are found "without ought against them" Revelation 2/Phillipians 2:15. So, no one dies and passes Judgement Day. No. Every one who is dead before judgment day will still wake up before judgment day to go to God's Court for Judgement. |

Dtruthspeaker:that scripture do not actually mean flame of torment. It was a parable that draw analogy between the religion of the Jews and that of the gentiles. Lazarus was a jew! The jews according to their Judaism religion believed that when they die they will go to Abraham bossom where they will be comforted. So Lazarus was comforted with Abraham's riches after dying as a poor man, that's is what the Jews believe. At the other hand, the rich man who was a gentile did not have Abraham to comfort him after he died, hence he was tormented perhaps in poverty and the table turned against him according to the law. The poverty was so severe that he could not afford water to drink, so he begged Abraham and Lazarus for water. Remember, at the other side Lazarus was the one begging for food. But how was the word FLAME included in the torment which does not have any bearing to what Jesus was describing in the story, is a mystery itself. Remember, the overall message of the parable is EVERYONE ARE SINNERS, BOTH THE JEWS AND THE GENTILES ALIKE, AND EVERYONE ARE JUDGED ACCORDING TO THE LAW. a position the Pharisees refused to accept but see themselves that they are more righteous than the gentiles. Luke 16:14 Or does the mysterious includer of the word FLAME in the parable suggest that the rich man was burnt because he was a a rich man? How then is it a sin to be a rich man? Think over it |

There are two types of UNBELIEVERS: 1. Individuals who finds it hard to grasp the message we are preaching due to their background. If these ones are nice and kind hearted God will not judge them for their unbelieving until the 1,000 year reign of Christ. They will be resurrected to enjoy Paradise for at least 100 years as youths, they will not grow old but remain as youths for 100 years in Paradise. This opportunity will be given them because they have their own way of judging matters using their God's given conscience {Romans 2:14-15} but once they have witnessed what the Bible God promised believers for a hundred years yet feels they don't need to accept Jesus (through whom they were shown mercy) as Lord then they will die not as old people but even as they are 100+ years they will die as youths! Isaiah 65:20 2. Individuals who stubbornly rendered their God's given conscience dead. These ones at first don't understand the message of God's kingdom but they are seeing all the fulfillment of prophecies in the gathering of true Christians and they are eyewitnesses to all the good things God foretold about His worshipers during the end time. They intentionally chose to stand against faith in Christ and wanted God to approve their own way of handling matters something that is detestable in God's sight. Isaiah 64:6 Such individuals are judged instantly as they die and there is no resurrection for them {Psalms 9:17} but just like leaves that wither away they will be forgotten! |

paxonel:Bros, torment, suffering and comfort is torment, suffering and comfort all over the world and we all know how they are all like. So it does not matter what things causes them whether it is stone or pillow. And you want to ignore that the basic place and point of lake of fire is that it is the place where God fulfils His Word and Law. For remember, God Said that the deeds of men must be repaid. Good for good and evil for evil. And we can see that the new world of heaven and earth is a place that is only Good, for the good. So where is the place of evil for the evil, to fulfill God's Law? That is clearly what the lake of fire fulfills which is why you see that both of them that is new world for the good and lake of fire for the ivu only starts AFTER Judgment Day |
