Politics is really a game of interest, too sad, those who are caught in between those interests don't even bother reading what's written in between the lines.

To the Nigerians who are on both sides of the divides, it will be well with your souls.

Folding and unfolding is actually one of Trump's trademark. It's diplomacy. It allows u to buy time, know more about your enemies and learn fast. Iran is not Folding because there want to get something in return after being disorganized. Imagine demanding 300b. Truth be told, Iran has suffered significant damage. Don't let everything you read online make you think otherwise. Yes, the United States has suffered some losses as well, but they are relatively minor, which is normal in any conflict.
When you keep flogging a child, one day they might damage one of your belongings. In the same way, Iran has managed to inflict some damage on its opponents, but if it chooses to continue fighting, it should understand that its adversaries are more technologically advanced and strategically prepared.
In a full-scale war similar to the Gulf War, Iran could face devastating consequences and be set back by decades. They need to recognize that the pressure being applied is largely aimed at forcing a long-term suspension of their nuclear program.

Iran demands $300bn to end war

Iran has demanded $300bn (£225bn) from the US to end the war in Iran and open up the Strait of Hormuz.

However, Tehran will not give up control over the strategic waterway and will continue its nuclear enrichment, according to a draft agreement published by Iranian state media.

The text emerged amid expectations that JD Vance, the US vice-president, will fly to Geneva to sign a deal, potentially on Sunday, before next week’s G7 meeting in the French Alps.

The deal is understood to be a memorandum of understanding (MOU), effectively a promise to hold further negotiations rather than a finalised peace agreement.

Iran's 14-point deal to end war

1 An immediate and permanent ceasefire on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

2 The United States commits to non-interference in Iran's internal affairs and to respecting the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

3 The complete lifting of the naval blockade within 30 days.

4 The United States commits to withdrawing its forces from the area around Iran.

5 The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days, under arrangements made by Iran.

6 The suspension of sanctions on the sale of oil, petrochemical products and related derivatives, together with full access for Iran to its financial resources.

7 The United States and its allies to provide reconstruction plans for Iran worth at least $300bn.

8 The parties will spend 60 days negotiating a final deal about nuclear issues and the complete removal of US, UN, and IAEA-related sanctions and restrictions.

9 A reaffirmation of Iran's commitment in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty to not produce nuclear weapons.

10 During the negotiations, the United States commits not to increase its forces in the region and will not impose new sanctions.

11 The release of $24bn in frozen Iranian funds during the 60-day negotiation period. Half of this amount must be made available to Iran before the negotiations begin.

12 The establishment of a monitoring mechanism to oversee implementation of the agreement.

13 The final agreement to be approved by a UN Security Council resolution.

14 Final negotiations will not begin until half of Iran's frozen funds have been released, sanctions on Iranian oil have been suspended, and the naval blockade has been lifted.

The negotiations will focus solely on enriched nuclear material and enrichment activities, the lifting of sanctions, and Iran's economic reconstruction programme. Discussions regarding Iran's missile programme and its support for resistance groups have been explicitly excluded from the agenda.

It calls on the US and its allies to pay Iran reparations for damage caused by the war and “to present reconstruction plans for Iran amounting to at least $300bn”.

Donald Trump said on Thursday that the US had “made a great deal” with Iran. However, an Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said: “We have not yet reached a conclusion on this matter.”

Iran’s Tasnim state news agency said the MOU was yet to receive approval from the Islamic Republic’s senior leadership.

With each passing day I read comments like this on Nairaland, I can’t help but appreciate proper education more and more.
May heaven bless Awolowo’s soul for his introduction of proper education in the SW (though, not all of us were able to get it)
Do you even know what proposals mean?🤣
Why do you already assume that the egoistic Trump that we all know would agree to these ridiculous demands?
So you mean he’s been ridiculing Obama just to settle for an even worse deal years later?🤣
Bro, take your education very seriously, though I know it’s late already but this is a PROPOSAL i.e wishes that are still subject to being accepted or turned down by the Americans.

Secondly, didn’t you claim Iran was never destroyed, so what exactly do they want to use the $300 billion to rebuild? Do you rebuild what’s not destroyed?🤣
Thirdly, why is a supposedly powerful country demanding/urging another country to leave its sovereign territories instead of forcibly chasing them away or do you think if the scenarios were reversed and it’s a United States’ territorial water that is being seized by another country, do you think the US would be writing proposals urging the country to leave?🤣🤣 No boy, the US, being the superpower that they are, don’t need to write proposals to make you leave its territory, it will forcibly remove you without asking. Who even told you that you can get close to its territory talk more of seizing it?🤣🤣🤣
If Iran were truly a world power, let them go to the US/Canada and seize the US’s Bering strait since it’s the equivalent of the Iran’s strait of Hormuz and let’s see if the US would be writing proposals urging the Iranians to leave.

Iran has demanded $300bn (£225bn) from the US to end the war in Iran and open up the Strait of Hormuz.

However, Tehran will not give up control over the strategic waterway and will continue its nuclear enrichment, according to a draft agreement published by Iranian state media.

The US Position and "Surrender" PushbackTrump's Rejection of Terms: US President Donald Trump publicly pushed back against the draft leaked by Iranian media, stating that Tehran's description of the agreement "bears no relation to the truth" and slamming the terms as "dishonorable".Reconstruction Fund Conditions: While US officials acknowledge that an international economic package for Iran has been discussed, Western sources emphasize that any $300 billion reconstruction fund would be completely dependent on a permanent, verifiable deal to dismantle Iran's nuclear program. It would also require substantial US congressional approval and a complete opening of Iran to Western investments.Control of the Strait: A major red line for the US is freedom of navigation. The US will not accept a permanent setup where Iran holds a continuous "stranglehold" or total military veto over global shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. SO IT IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL.....LET THE WAR CONTINUE
