East always vote opposite of south west why I think Dey see west at competitors and west don’t even see east at all as competitors
You people are very deceptive.

Even after seeing the stat, you people will still lie just to push you stewpid narrative.

Since the yorubas took over the economy in 2015, Nigeria economy has been in a spiral decline. Compared to 1999-2014 the Igbos were running the economy.

Your region that overwhelmingly voted for buhari, so buhari is better than GEJ?

Igbos will always be your nemesis.

Looks like SW voted along ethnic lines.

Tofa's Running Mate was Sylvester Ugoh, an Ibo man and a Biafra Cabinet member.

Abiola picked a fellow Muslim. babagana Kingibe, the first Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Northerners voted along ethnic lines, for Tofa to win in the North, but the vote was split due to religious sentiment.

South east voted for a ticket that had one of their own,, and what they considered a balanced, Muslim-Christian Ticket.

I hope you understand?

I am Yoruba and a Christian. I supported Abiola back then, because we all knew him.
God bless you bro. May your days be long.

So SE decided to go with Tofa
Why is it now suddenly a problem when SW decides to align with the North.
In the first republic too, Azikwe's NCNC eventually formed an alliance with the North's NPC against Awolowo's AG.
2nd republic, they still formed an alliance with shehu shagari.
3rd republic still went with Tofa against Abiola
Tofa vice presidential candidate was from the SE
Yet they still gave your son 48%.
What else are u looking for or u want them to die for you?
Re: How Nigerians Voted On June 12, 1993 by Dalohad: 11:18am On Jun 13
It was almost 50-50% in the South East.

Looks like SW voted along ethnic lines.

Igbos were here voting others
But one time they are pressing for the position, we start hearing all manner of rubbish. Imagine it was an Igbo man that annulled the election, tribalists and bigots will never cease to tell the story anytime its election time.
I'm telling you, just like they keep ringing the bells that it was Igbos that caused coup of 1960 that led to Nigeria/Biafra war even when the names of ethnic groups that participated on the coup came out and Igbos wasn't even in majority they keep on forcing the coup as Igbo coup.

Very anyhow people full of envy and jealousy against Igbos

South Southern Nigeria has always been the only neutral region in this country. We don't have any sentimental attachment when it comes to elections. We vote not because you're our brother but because we see you as the best candidate among the rest.
This 1993 election results didn't prove that.
Re: How Nigerians Voted On June 12, 1993 by Owoino: 11:26am On Jun 13
Notice how the Obidients always vote for the Northerners but the Northerners will never vote for Gringory grin
Re: How Nigerians Voted On June 12, 1993 by Nduzeal4life:
This false narrative that you posted cannot change anything, remember that Igbo man was inec chairman that announced results and declared MKO Abiola winner that almost took his life for disobeying Babangida, you guys should stop propagating lies for your selfish benefits,

what do u have to say about this in the south east?

It's seems all their children are more concerned about the south west

Just wake up, make up a narrative that doesn't give with reality and run with it. Always living in false alternative reality.
Wake up and stop lying to yourself.

you are shamed because you'd thought Abiola would get less than 25% in the SE, sorry we are not tribalistic as you think.

Oh no, this reminder every June 12. My dear SE always playing on the losing side of history.
Funny how if SW says 1+1=2, SE will aggressively say NEVER. Smile.
You are a small boy to know things, how do you denigrade a region that almost voted 59% for each of the candidates? Don't you assimilate the stats before commenting? That region you are talking about voted yoruba in 1999 and 2003 even against their leader Ojukwu what are you saying? They voted the winners in1999,2003,2007,2011 and voted the loser in 2015, 2019 and 2023sane as my region the south south. We are very happy to not be associated with a calamity like Buhari and Tinubu, if that's what you refer to as loosing then we are proud of it. Don't know why most of you aren't educated in matters of history if you do some of the things you guys exude you won't exude that no more. The south west voted the loser s n 1999, 2003, 2007, should we also refer to the south west as voting losers? Go school school no be scam

The South East voted neutrally from the result, compared to the South West, so pick a struggle and stop the stu-pid tribalism.
Neutral. Do you know how extremely popular Abiola was to lose an election in the South? Everyone knew who'd win the election. Mr Neutral.

When you dislike someone to the extent of posing lies to give a dog a bad name, you lie to the extent your lies doesn't add up.

What do you mean by "Obasanjo against Yoruba interest was the reason Igbos voted him?"
Re: How Nigerians Voted On June 12, 1993 by opes: 11:46am On Jun 13
Officially, there were no geopolitical zones in 1993. Looking more closely at the state by state results, it is interesting to note that Abiola won in Anambra State but lost in Kogi State.
