“We want the foreigners to come back now!”

— Factory workers in South Africa have taken to the streets to protest the dismissal of foreign workers, warning that the move could disrupt production and put jobs at risk. They argue that many industries rely heavily on skilled foreign labour, with insufficient local workers available to fill the gap.

Yep that is what xenophobia causes.

No immigrants to do the dirty and dangerous jobs.

Same issue in Europe and America.

Still does not make illegal immigration right. If you want to migrate do it legally

Every developing country in the world needs foreign workers but the fools in Southern Africa are looting people's goods in the name of identities.

Tell your lazy southern African men to gear up and take charge of your labour force..there's nothing that could make me travel to South Africa because naturally any country that their men are lazy and roaming the streets aimlessly is a dangerous place for foreigners...a jobless man is a danger to himself and society..this is our humanity...is not really hate but envy and greed is pushing the southern African men into all this rubbish...u see foreigners living large in your country..u couldn't see the hard work, sleepless nights and all sort he endured to reach the level of success you are now envious about...I saw such men in Gambia and I ran away from that country...

When will enough Nigerians protest that we want PDP back to give us prosperity, peace and stability with cheap petrol and low debt burden?

What are we waiting for, to end this All Promises Cancelled, APC extreme poverty and insecurity shege that Tinubu fraudulently sold as positive change 11 years ago? That was when he went to Kaduna and begged Buhari out of retirement, to make Jonathan a one term president.

How Indorama sustains manufacturers, boosts Nigeria’s FX earnings

Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (IEPL) has emerged as a major value creator in the Nigerian economy. It is responsible for the survival, growth and sustenance of many manufacturing companies in Nigeria today. A large number of plastic and allied firms depend on the Eleme-based company for petrochemical resins (or polymer resins) which serve as their raw materials.

The petrochemical company is just one of the several subsidiaries of Indorama-Nigeria Group, which also comprises Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited (IEFCL), Indorama PET Nigeria Limited, and Indorama Port Operations.

Since Indorama Corporation of Indonesia became core investor in the old Eleme Petrochemicals Company Limited (EPCL) in 2006 through privatisation programme of the Federal Government, the group has become a game changer in the Nigerian economy.

The petrochemical company has solved the major challenge facing a number of manufacturers— poor access to raw materials. Rather than scramble for foreign exchange to import inputs, the company ensures that manufacturers have access to their critical raw materials, enabling them to save costs and improve margins.

The major resins used by plastic and allied companies are polyethylene and polypropylene. Indorama produces about 45 grades of these products for various industries. About 600 of such companies in Nigeria depend on IEPL for their survival. They are estimated to have over 90,000 workers.

They want the foreigners to go so they can unionize and frustrate the local industries and dictate terms that suit their lazy selves while running factories aground. Only to come back, cap in hand with useless apologies and begging and some mumu people will now say “we’re big brothers. Let’s forgive and forget”. 2030 no far na. We go see the end result.

I don't understand... tell me.

Factory workers protesting the dismissal of foreign workers that management/ownership did to cripple their own factories.

Do the workers love their jobs more than the owners love their business or is someone trying to pull the wool over my head here.

Are these guys confused or what exactly is their problem?

One minute you want foreigners gone, next minutes you want them back? Why are you guys toiling with people's emotions?

Sometimes just leave out the "buts" from your otherwise valid and informative comments.

You don't always have to court controversy, be the "lone" voice of reason, superior thinking or whatever. After a while it gets boring, predictable and gives off an arrogant standoffish vibe (even if that's not the intent or whom you are-you can't help how people think about you right? But you sure can influence HOW they come to conclusions about your personality).

And I have an idea how you may react to this comment (which may just prove the point I was trying to make).

Again, I don't get it.
Who is doing the firing....the owners of the enterprise knowing that it will cripple the place....or what.

Where's the video? Fake news

Why would the workers protest and not the employers. Sometimes Nigerians fall for anything and everything.

I blame Donald Trump in all of these. He failed to be the President of the world that former American Presidents use to be angry

Instead of offering White South Africans migration route to USA, why not divide South Africa into two; one part for Black South Africans and the second part for White South Africans.

Once South Africa is divided into White and Black South Africa, then every foreigner can leave Black South Africa country and lets see how far they can go.

This is the only way to solve South Africa Xenophobic crises once and for all.

Elon Musk should come in on this, I will be sending him this idea on x
