For obvious reasons, the vast majority of Nigerians are clearly dissatisfied with the Nigerian government, particularly the federal government headed by Bola Tinubu. And as a result of the enormous power a Nigerian president wields in determining and steering the direction in which the country ultimately moves, many people strongly believe that getting it right in electing the "best president" will turn the situation of Nigeria around for the better. Peter Obi has presented himself as someone who has solutions to most of the problems bedeviling Nigeria, and many people (especially the youths) have come to see him as the Messiah Nigeria desperately needs before the situation of things degenerate further. Assuming Peter Obi will truly deliver on his words to bring about the Nigeria of our dreams, the challenge is how will Obi defeat an incumbent Tinubu (a political strategist who currently has the support of at least 33 sitting governors for his re-election, and essentially has the INEC and the judiciary under his control). So if you know of any brilliant strategy or smart move Obi can use to defeat Jagaban in 2027 presidential election, kindly discuss it. I will find a way to get the best advice across to Obi. |

Obi will never rule Nigeria. He is a dullard and a liar. |

AlbertNewton:It's nigh on impossible, not with Prof Utomi still marking him tightly. If he can get his Obidients to stop with the needless abuse, curses and insults of those that don't think he is the messiah, that is a start. Then stop his Obidients rejoicing when bad things happen in other parts of the country, that might help some. |

aswani:I think the reason some Obidients abuse and insult people supporting the current government is as a result of frustration mixed with anger. Frustration that any normal person can still openly support a government that has clearly failed. But I agree with you that if Obidients focus more on convincing others of why Obi is the Messiah that Nigeria needs rather than insulting them, then a lot more sane Nigerians might join the Obidients Movement. Thanks for your input 🙏 |

madridguy:Well, the results of 2023 presidential elections clearly showed Obi has a huge potential to become Nigerian president. Just imagine if a lot more Nigerians came out to vote, and the election was completely free and fair, then Obi could have won. Perhaps he actually won 🤔 |

Tribalism have eaten deep into some of you. Same Obi that claimed he had no clue about the problem we are facing in Nigeria |

madridguy:Hater spotted. He just hates PO for no reason. If you ask him why did you say PO will never be president of Nigeria. He will give you no reason rather he will repeat himself and say again that PO will never be president of Nigeria. I was watching Man United match sometime so a guy echoed that he hates a brilliant young player of the team called Patrick Dorgu. I asked him, why do you hate him? He looked at me and started scratching his head. I asked him again why do you hate the young brilliant player? In response he told me that he just hates him.Nothong more! But this dude has never encountered the player,he has never quarreled with him,he has never fought with him,the player did not steal his money or take his property from him,he didn't sleep with his wife. His sin is just that he is facing his football career making his cool money. A young billionaire! Nothing else. So lots like you hate PO just because he speaks the truth and he is far better than your drug dealer role model.Spit! But his assertion is that PO is a dullard and a liar. I want to ask a few questions: Can a dullard controle businesses worth billions of dollars across the world? Can a dullard travel to world most prestigious universities including Harvard and Oxford universities in the US and UK to deliver keynote lectures? Can a liar lie to you and ask you to go and verify? You see he hates PO for just no reason. But the bitter truth is that Nigerians have accepted PO despite the name callings by some disgruntled elements to rubbish his name. Nigerians know better now and can't be deceived anymore by enemies of Nigeria. Come 2027 in a free and fair elections PO will beat Tinubu handsdown. Let everyone go to their voting units and cast their votes and remain there while they insist that votes must count in their presence. They must keep virgil if that's what the situation calls for in order for their votes to count. Doing so will discourage rigging and as such before 12 noon the following day PO would have been declared the winner. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Godbless. |

5 out of 8 people that voted for Obi in 2023 will not vote for him again. Note this, in 2027, Obi won't get half of the total votes he got in 2023. AlbertNewton: |

Tell Obi to go and form his party. Nurture it and create a clear manifesto that will resonate with the public. The greatest oxymoron of politics happened when Obi a beer factory builder chooses to contest with a fanatical Sharia imposed beer destroyer person. That's single act negate the angelic posture Obi has been trying to push to the public. |

helinues:Obi was misquoted in what he said in the clip that was mischievously cut off. This is what he said exactly: .. within the first one year (of becoming president), I will go to every single state to know what the problems are, because you cannot know what the problems are until you go there ... Here, Obi was speaking to the facts that some states have peculiar problems, and you cannot presume you understand the problems of such states from afar unless you visit the state and engage properly with the people of that state. I believe any sane person will agree this is an intelligent approach to understand a problem in order to proffer the best solution to it. |

madridguy:So who would those people rather vote for and why will they not vote for Obi ? Please give intelligent reasons for your claim. And also advice Obi on how he can still make those people vote for him again. |

aswani:Who will stop Tinubu/APC's data boys from their endless abuse, curses, and insults directed at Peter Obi, Obidients and those seeking the good of this country, along with their toxic ethnic and tribal bigotry divisive campaign? |
| Re: Advice For Obi On How To Defeat Tinubu In 2027 Presidential Election by AlbertNewton(op): 10:55am On Jun 14 |
Ttalk:I honestly don't see how forming his own party will make any significant difference to the votes he will get. Perhaps you can tell me how that would increase his support base. As for Obi choosing Kwankwaso as his running mate, that is clearly a strategic political move. The reason he chose Kwankwaso is not because their ideals and visions align perfectly, but because Kwankwaso is regarded as a political heavyweight in the North, someone who can give Obi the Northern votes that is absolutely needed to win a presidential election in Nigeria. The decisions you make as a politician don't always have to be based on principle. As a matter of fact, that's an example of political strategies I expect you guys will advise Obi on. For instance, people from different regions of the country should he form alliance with that can guarantee more votes ? Who should he use as campaign managers ? What strategies should they use for campaign? That's how politics is played all over the world. |

helinues:I assumed you have already seen the video, otherwise why would you make a claim he said something you didn't listen to him say .We can discuss what Obi said or didn't say some other time. My focus here is to see what advice people have for him on how to defeat Tinubu in 2027 presidential election, considering how challenging it seems to pull that off. Thanks |
| Re: Advice For Obi On How To Defeat Tinubu In 2027 Presidential Election by helinues: 11:15am On Jun 14 |
AlbertNewton:I asked for the video not just for me but for other members to see. Whether I have seen it or not is irrelevant You said we should not discuss what Obi says or not. How then can we access him through his words by telling us what he intends to do differently. Let me give you a challenge. At least someone aspiring to be a president of Nigeria must have been discussing governance issue with alternative solutions which could make the difference Post just one video. Na only one I am asking not 2 oo, post one video where Peter Obi was asked about anything related to governance and he answered/responded coherently |
| Re: Advice For Obi On How To Defeat Tinubu In 2027 Presidential Election by shortgun(m): 11:43am On Jun 14 |
Tinubu has already made Peter Obi president by his incompetence and the suffering his administration has inflicted on Nigerians. We all know Peter Obi won the 2023 election but the mandate was stolen. Victory for Peter Obi and Kwankwaso in the coming election is very certain |
| Re: Advice For Obi On How To Defeat Tinubu In 2027 Presidential Election by AlbertNewton(op): 11:48am On Jun 14 |
helinues:Sorry, this thread is not about that video ![]() But you can go ahead and post the video if you like, since you're the one trying to make a point out of what he said in the video. I was only clarifying what he said. You said we should not discuss what Obi says or not. How then can we access him through his words by telling us what he intends to do differently.Again, the main focus of this thread is not really to debate whether Obi has better solutions or not, but for those who want him to defeat Tinubu to advise him on how to achieve that challenging feat. I will be glad to debate with you (intellectually though) the alternative solutions Obi is proposing in an appropriate thread. Perhaps I can actually create such thread and notify you about it. |

AlbertNewton:You can never even see such a video that's why I asked for one If not that people like you are wicked, how can. you be projecting someone who can't answer ordinary basic questions about governance yet want to be the president of the complicated Nigeria. We should advise someone who doesn't know his right from left? Till today, I am the questioning, why did Obi meet with Malami, the same man he attacked all through when he was AGF to Buhari ? What was he thinking when he joined ADC? His new loved party NDC, did he even think it through before being lured by Kwankwanso which I made the comments about immediately Kwankwanso joined ADC Below thread will not only distract Obi and his supporters, it will exhaust them too even before the election https://www.nairaland.com/8687695/ndc-affairs-before-election-messy |
| Re: Advice For Obi On How To Defeat Tinubu In 2027 Presidential Election by Ttalk: 11:58am On Jun 14 |
AlbertNewton:You don't seem to understand how politics work in Nigeria and don't seem to have idea about criteria needed for a presidential candidate to have support beyond his ethnic enclave. Genuinely many of you seeking immediate gratification for Obi are not doing him any favour. Electorate in other region will consider many factors before voting your candidate one of which is consistency which Obi lack. Moving within 3 parties in 3 years is a turn off for the electorate who are sitting on the fence. Obi utterances on National issue such as negotiating with terrorist are turn off to many who are looking for alternative candidates. Obi has lost his major backers since 2023 while the Obidient have further deplete his potential supporter. Rather than focus on 2027 which remains a mirage, Obi should quickly restrategise and focus on building a formidable party with clear manifesto. He must do away with his tribal Obidients who abuse everyone who is not a supporter of Obi. |

Ttalk:This your analysis doesn't make sense if you carefully consider the results of 2023 election. All Obi need to win is for a lot more people to come out to vote. And with the current situation of things in the country, I'm certain that over 80% of Nigerians want a change of government. |

madridguy: madridguy:This is no longer about Peter Obi. It is about rescuing Nigeria. In 2015, I voted for President Buhari believing that with his military background, he would be able to nip the state of insecurity in Nigeria in the bud. I saw Goodluck Jonathan as a weak man who never planned to be a president but destiny took him there. [Voting for Buhari happened to be the greatest mistake of my life. Of course, I voted against him in 2019] In 2023, I voted for Peter Obi. Of a truth, though I did not vote for Tinubu, I was highly disappointed with his abysmal performance. I never knew that Tinubu had nothing to offer except the fulfilment of his lifetime ambition to answer 'Commander in Chief'. If anyone tells me that the Yoruba land (South west) will be ravaged with this level of insecurity under Tinubu's watch as C-in-C, I will never believe. This is no longer about Tribalism or Religion. It is about how safe you, your relatives, and loved one is. My concern is that no solution or any trajectory of improvement is being laid on the ground to give hope of a better Nigeria. Generals and Traditional rulers with security guards are being kidnapped and killed. You that is standing on the mandate with mere stipends are being irrational. Someone was busy asking for evidence that Janet Dairo [May her soul rest in peace], the serving NYSC member who died in captivity actually told her father not to pay the ransom because she would kill herself if released because of serial rape, torture, and torments in captivity. She chose death because of what she had passed through. I wonder how we lose our senses and humanity at the same time because of tribal politics. My only response to the person is that may Nigeria not happen to him or her. The evidence he or she is seeking will be provided when he/she or any of his/her family members is kidnapped. Children of this generation will believe that Terrorism, Banditry, and Kidnapping are norms of living. It is not about me. Even if I am the only one who voted against this government, I will proudly tell my children if I happen to be alive and not swallowed by this criminality or Nigeria system that I proudly did my part in ensuring that I laid a better foundation of governance for them. Regardless of your tribe and religion, if you sincerely believe that the future you wish for your children and Nigeria is not what you are witnessing today, you know what to do come 2027. Otherwise, stand firmly on 'Emilokan Mandate'. |

AlbertNewton:How could he have won when Atiku is the 2nd person or how did you see Atiku's votes? |
| Re: Advice For Obi On How To Defeat Tinubu In 2027 Presidential Election by AlbertNewton(op): 6:38am On Jun 15 |
adams123:Because we heard stories about how Obi's votes were rigged in favour of Tinubu in different parts of the country. We heard about how voters were intimidated from voting in certain parts of the country. So again, perhaps Obi actually won the 2023 presidential election |
